Rubens' Tube is an awesome demo and here we take it to the next level with a two-dimensional 'Pyro Board'. This shows unique standing wave patters of sound in the box.
The pressure variations due to the sound waves affect the flow rate of flammable gas from the holes in the Pyro Board and therefore affect the height and colour of flames. This is interesting for visualizing standing wave patterns and simply awesome to watch when put to music. Thank you to Sune Nielsen and everyone at Aarhus for sharing this demonstration with me! And thanks for having me at your conference.

Ocean stratification results when ocean water with different densities forms layers due to their properties. In this video, I show how differences in salinity can create ocean stratification which may result in ocean currents.
In the salinity demonstration, I have a container divided into two halves. On one side I have fresh water and the other I have very salty water. The two types of water are separated by a divider. When I lift the divider the salty water flows under the warm water and creates a current.

Welcome to episode 198 of the AI for Career Success podcast from Curt Robbins. This educational content is designed to give working professionals who leverage AI as a tool for efficiency and productivity a competitive edge.
In this episode, hosts Daphne Blake and Fred Jones review a new report from Anthropic entitled "Anthropic Education Report: The AI Fluency Index" that was published on February 23.
The report introduces the AI Fluency Index, a research initiative designed to measure how effectively humans collaborate with artificial intelligence.
By analyzing thousands of anonymized conversations through the 4D AI Fluency Framework, the study identifies specific behaviors that define high-level competency. The findings reveal that iteration and refinement are the strongest indicators of fluency, as users who engage in multi-turn dialogues are significantly more likely to evaluate the model's logic.
Conversely, the report warns of a "polish paradox," where users tend to be less critical and ask fewer clarifying questions when the AI produces sophisticated outputs like code or professional documents.
To improve performance, the researchers suggest that individuals should explicitly set terms for collaboration and maintain a healthy skepticism toward finished-looking results.
The Anthropic index establishes a behavioral baseline to track how human skills evolve alongside increasingly capable technology.

How to Learn Addition and Subtraction for Kids | Math for 1st Grade
There are several methods to teach children to learn addition and subtraction. Planning activities to make it easier for children to learn is one of the best methods.
Making worksheets with colorful drawings and animated figures not only develops their interest but also helps them learn faster. Most of the kids usually think mathematics is boring, which is why you need to try different methods to divert their attention.
Kids love jellies and candies, right? Well, then those can be used to learn fast addition and subtraction.
For a sum 4 + 5 = --------, give four candies to the child separately and then tell them to count from four onwards until they complete the five remaining. Simple, right?
You can also use an abacus for teaching addition and subtraction. The colorful balls in the abacus make addition and subtraction for kids a lot easier. These methods are easy to follow and help in developing a good mathematical concept.

The finest burritos in the world are made in San Francisco’s Mission District. But how can you get a hot & fresh one in New York City in time for lunch? Physics, that’s how. For this very serious and scientific video, we dug a classic documentary out of the vault that tells the story of the transcontinental burrito tunnel, and its successor, the transcontinental burrito hypertunnel. They are both true marvels of physics. Oh, and they aren’t real… but the science is.
