This video walks you through 4 examples of dividing fractions. The key to dividing fractions is to remember the acronym KFC, which means keep, flip and change.

You want to keep your first fraction the same, flip the second fraction to its reciprocal, and change the sign to multiply. The division problem now becomes a multiplication problem and you can multiply straight across.

Matematikspil til ferien / Anette K Matematik

Vi spiller mange gode matematikspil i mine klasser, og selvom ferie betyder afslapning, er det også for mange lige med at spille sjove spil.
Derfor vil mine elever tit gerne spille videre hjemme, så nu har jeg lavet en lille feriepakke til mine klasser, hvor de får et par spil med hjem, som de kan spille med familien, hvis de har lyst.

Det er vigtigt, at vi bruger tid i klasserne inden, så eleverne har godt styr på spil og regler inden ferien.

Jeg lærte spillet Skørping at kende på et kursus for en del år siden. Det er opfundet af en mand fra den lille by Skørping, deraf navnet.
I spillet skal eleverne spille strategisk og satse, hvilket de synes er rigtig sjovt. Samtidig får de trænet plusstykker hele vejen igennem spillet.
Jeg bruger ofte Skørping som en fælles klasseaktivitet, hvor eleverne er to og to om en spilleplade.
Værkstedet er sjovt for de fleste alderstrin.

Når der arbejdes med forskellige plusstrategier, er det super vigtigt, at der ikke alene fokuseres på at lære opstilling og algoritmer. Derfor kan dette værksted være en god hjælp, fordi der stadig arbejdes med visualisering vha nummerbrikker.

Før dette værksted bør eleverne således også have arbejdet med tællestrategier, de første tal, gode venner og pluspar.

Monster er et sjovt spil der både kan bruges som break i undervisningen og som samtidig træner en masse gode ting hos eleverne.
De øver sig i talforståelse og i at holde styr på enere og tiere, i at veksle, holde regnskab og lægge sammen - alt sammen mens de hygger sig med spillet.
Mine elever oplever også spillet som en god social aktivitet, hvor de hjælper hinanden med at få vekslet inden monsteret kommer og napper alle deres enkroner.
