Research shows that the surroundings that people learn, live and work in can deeply impact their mental and physical health. The International WELL Building Institute has created a certification that measures that impact, and several schools across the country have implemented those best practices to become WELL certified. In this video, IWBI’s president and CEO, Rachel Hodgdon, shares the different elements that go into the certification and offers tips for districts looking to incorporate parts of it on a smaller scale.

A quote by Einstein: A human being is a part of the whole, called by us "Universe", a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest — a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security.
A unit is a frequently arbitrary designation we have given to something to convey a definite magnitude of a physical quantity and every quantity can be expressed in terms of the seven base units that are contained in the international system of units. Hank thinks this is a thrilling subject, and while you may not agree, it is a subject that is very important if you want to be a scientist and communicate with accuracy and precision with other scientists. So listen up and learn something or Hank might have to kill you! (NOT REALLY!)

Human, Capital & Natural Resources for Kids | Types of Resources | Kids Academy
Yes, there’s no doubt in the fact that you are supposed to teach your little one everything about maths and science and geography, etc but what’s more important is to educate your child about saving the Earth’s resources because this is something that will come in handy to them once they start growing up.
You see, conservation of natural resources should be more of a part of ethics. Like, your kid is supposed to know that he shouldn’t run the tap while he is brushing his teeth because that way he will be wasting water. On the other hand, your little one should be educated about how he can make the Earth a cleaner place to live in by throwing the garbage in the bins instead of on the roads and streets.
Your child must also be educated on keeping the air clean by preventing air pollution and the causes of air pollution. Long story short, your little one must know about saving Earth’s resources once you start teaching him the other basics of maths, English and other subjects. The best part is that you can make it fun for your child to learn about how to conserve natural resources. For starters, you can make him watch online Youtube tutorials, you can opt for online courses and you can even play different games and read stories to fit the concept in your little one’s brain that he/she is supposed to be a good citizen and add to the Earth’s development.
One of the best ways to teach your child about conserving the natural resources is to buy him a bike and then show him the benefits of opting for a bike instead of a car. You see, these small things and these small practical examples will add a lot to his brain and he will hence understand how the conservation occurs in the first place.

Today we visit artist Allison Smith in her Oakland, California studio. Her work focuses on historical reenactment and how the past influences the present -- and now she wants to know what YOU are fighting for.
Sarah discusses how there is a long history of art intersecting with activism and how it has evolved over time.
INSTRUCTIONS - The Muster

2. Fashion your own uniform that declares your cause out of materials you have around
3. Take a picture of yourself in uniform in front of a neutral background

Hold on to your butts. This episode is about… butts. The science and evolutionary history of your rear end, the down-low on your derriere, shining a little light where the sun don't shine… you get the picture. But(t) seriously, we don't talk about this all-important hole enough, and how, from an evolutionary perspective, it might be the most important orifice on your body.

In the Russo-Ukrainian War, thousands of BTRs have been deployed and destroyed. Having already been often sighted within conflicts even as far as Afghanistan, Cuba, Egypt, and Iran during the Cold War, here we describe their various technical designs, how they have been continuously tinkered with, and their intended purposes. Beginning with the BTR-60 not long after World War II, and exploring their unusual amphibious capabilities, we conclude with the latest formidable BTR-82A and their impacts on the battle-zones.

Linear Algebra on Khan Academy: Have you ever wondered what the difference is between speed and velocity? Ever try to visualize in four dimensions or six or seven? Linear algebra describes things in two dimensions, but many of the concepts can be extended into three, four or more. Linear algebra implies two dimensional reasoning, however, the concepts covered in linear algebra provide the basis for multi-dimensional representations of mathematical reasoning. Matrices, vectors, vector spaces, transformations, eigenvectors/values all help us to visualize and understand multi dimensional concepts. This is an advanced course normally taken by science or engineering majors after taking at least two semesters of calculus (although calculus really isn't a prereq) so don't confuse this with regular high school algebra.
About Khan Academy: Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. We've also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content.
