Boiling point and Melting point--
The boiling point is the temperature at which a substance changes from a liquid into a gas.
The boiling point varies for different substances and can be used to help identify elements of the periodic table and other substances. For example, water and rubbing alcohol look similar but water has a boiling point of 212 f and 100 c and rubbing alcohol has a boiling point of 180.7 f and 82.6 c
The element found on the periodic table with the lowest boiling point is helium at -452.1 f and -269c
Tungsten has the highest boiling point at 10,030 f which is 5660 c
Boiling point varies with your elevation. It is higher at sea level and decreases as you gain elevation. As a result,
The standard boiling point has been defined by IUPAC since 1982 as the temperature at which boiling occurs under a pressure of 1 bar which is a fancy way of saying the standard boiling point is the boiling point at sea level
The melting point is the temperature at which a substance changes from a solid to a liquid.
This snow melting is an example of the water reaching it’s boiling point.
The melting point is also impacted by atmospheric pressure which changes with elevation but not as boiling point does.
The melting point is a physical property and can be used to identify substances.
The melting point of water is 32 f and 0 c
Helium has the lowest melting point at -272 c and carbon has the highest at 3500 c
Compare this to steel which has a melting point of 1510 degrees c

In order to understand the history of media literacy we have to go all the way back to straight up literacy. In the first half of our look at the history of media literacy, Jay takes us all the way back to Ancient Greece and forward through the printing press, newspapers, and Yellow Journalism.

Learn to Read | Read Words In Order | Reading for Kids | Kids Academy
Reading forms a very important part of the child’s initial academics. It is also a very difficult lesson for kids and mostly it is seen that kids struggle with it. However, if it is made easy and everything is explained to the kid in an easy way this can also become a very easy and a very interesting lesson.
It is important for teachers and parents to know that each kid is different, and each kid takes a different amount of time to grasp a concept. Therefore, putting pressure on the kid will not help him/her to get any better.
Now how can you help the kid to read fluently? There are some simple tips and tricks that you can follow to make reading for preschool and kindergarten kids easy.
1. Practice makes a man perfect
Read with your kid as much as you can. Be patient and don’t expect the child to start reading just after a few readings. With more and more practice the kid will slowly start understanding the sounds and alphabets and how they are working together. Start with small words.
2. Don’t burden the child
It is important the kid does not feel too much pressurized. If you burden the kid with a new difficult word every day it would become very difficult for him/her to cope up with it. So, take things slowly let the kid get familiarized with some words and then move forward.
3. Read what the kid likes
It’s better than you read a storybook that the kid likes, it would create more interest in the child and he would be more curious to read and understand what his/her favorite characters are saying. It would enhance the learning process.
4. Encourage participation
Encourage the kid to participate in the process and read with you. Ask questions while reading for example if you are reading a story with a dog in it, every once in a while, ask ‘so where is the dog?’. This will keep the child attentive and also, they will be better able to identify individual words.
So, these are some of the best ways in which you can learn to read for kids

Learn to Play Chess - Discovered Attack | Kids Academy
The discovered check can help you win the game. It is one of the most intelligent moves in chess. This move will make your opponent come out of their comfort zone and move their king. This would block the check of your opponent, which means that your chances of doing checkmate increases and you can put the opponent’s king under threat. It is one of the most common played tactics in chess.
So, what happens in this kind of move is that when you move a piece, a piece is revealed behind it that is now attacking the king. This will force the opponent to move their king hence giving you a chance to checkmate. A discovered check is one of the most popular moves used in chess and very important to the lesson for chess for beginners. It can help you earn a lot of points and win the game.

Learn singular and plural nouns with Aaron the magician who changes things from one to many by chanting simple spelling rules. Add -s to the base word to make plurals. Add –es, when you see s, ch, sh, x, or z at the end. When a word ends with a vowel and –y just add –s, and if it ends in a consonant and –y change the -y to –I and add –es. An –f or –fe at the end should be changed to –v and an –es must be added to make plurals. Abracadabra! Get ready to chant the spelling rules and find some examples too!

Students conduct an experiment to determine the relationship between the speed of a wooden toy car at the bottom of an incline and the height at which it is released. They observe how the photogate-based speedometer instrument "clocks" the average speed of an object (the train). They gather data and create graphs plotting the measured speed against start height. After the experiment, as an optional extension activity, students design brakes to moderate the speed of the cart at the bottom of the hill to within a specified speed range.
