Improved math is a channel created to provide additional instruction on essential math concepts. I’m passionate about math and I know first-hand how important math concepts are in the real world.
Teachers, parents, guardians, homeschoolers, and students can use these videos to help reinforce math skills. These math videos are designed to help teach yourself math or provide self-study math tools to assist when additional instruction is needed. Teaching math and learning math has changed the way many students learn in this virtual environment. Having on-demand math videos can provide math tutoring needed when children are not able to get help from their teachers after school hours or when trying to do math at home.
The library of math tutorials that I create can also be used as supplemental instructional material for homeschool math. Each full-length video comes with a subsequent knowledge check or math practice problems which serve as a virtual math topic worksheet to test your understanding of each skill. These videos can be paused to work out the problems on your own, then unpaused to check your answers. All of these videos can be found under the Knowledge Check playlist.
I also have a library of shorter videos (less than 1 minute in length - shorts) that are quick math tips and tricks on basic math topics. Some of these short math help videos include problems that you can work on yourself and submit your answers in the comments. They are all listed under my Math Tips and Tricks playlist.
Improved math is creating more videos every day to cover topics from 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, and 7th-grade math. The videos focus on fractions, basic math operations, geometry, and ratios but more topics are being added all the time. If there is a specific topic you would like to see covered, drop me a comment in one of my videos and let me know!
Free math help videos will be posted every Thursday and Friday. For additional math resources, check out my math help website at improvedmath.com where I post math worksheets and answers along with additional context on math basics.
Thanks for watching my channel.

Multiply by 5 with a rock n' roll beat. Sing along to the 5's times tables by singing along with the multiplication fact the first time through. The second time through we delay the answer so students can give the answer and then the answer is reinforced. The third time we supply the 5's times table and leave the answer blank for higher order learning.
Multiply by 5's with this catchy rock n' roll tune to help students learn their multiplication table.

On a bright and sunny day in mid-June, a group of 16 school leaders arrived at the U.S. Capitol with a sole objective: to garner more funds and resources to support schools that have experienced a school shooting.
This group, the Principal Recovery Network, is uniquely poised to make these demands to legislators—each of them have experienced a school shooting, or the aftermath, on their campus. Several of the principals in this group have lost colleagues and students to such violent incidents.
The network wants a “substantial” increase in funding for Project SERV, a short-term grant provided to schools after they experience a traumatic incident. SERV, which stands for School Emergency Response to Violence, provides both money and crisis-response experts to schools after an incident of violence on campus.
Schools can use the SERV grant to hire additional counselors and mental health service providers, as well as increase the presence of law enforcement on campus in the immediate aftermath of a violent incident. The SERV grant, though, is time-limited.
“Expanding Project SERV is another ask we have for Capitol Hill,” Johnson said.
Beyond SERV, the school leaders want legislators to provide more funding under Title II and Title IX, which, they said, could help with more security measures on campus, as well as expand mental health services for students. In this video, members of the Principal Recovery Network discuss how these additional resources can help schools recover and heal after a violent incident.

Using adverbs in sentences is a great way to add description and detail. In What Is an Adverb? for Kids, you and your students will learn all about the role adverbs play in our language. Similar to advertisements that hype up a product, adverbs hype up sentences and give them a little extra kick.
Adverbs describe verbs in more detail, providing information on when, where, how, how much, or how often the action takes place. For instance, if you want to sell lemonade in your neighborhood, you might create a banner with the word "LEMONADE" across it. But you are likely to get more customers if you explain the kind of lemonade you are selling. Putting "freshly squeezed lemonade" is more accurate, and more appealing! The word "freshly" is the adverb that describes how you prepared your refreshing drink.
As another example, let's look at this sentence: I will read my book. That is a pretty vague statement. When will you read the book? Now let's take a look at this sentence: I will read my book tomorrow. Adding the adverb "tomorrow" provides more detail, makes the statement much more informative. That being said, keep in mind that adverbs can be vague (I will meet up with you later!) as well as specific (I will see you at 3 o'clock tonight!).
We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning how to identify adverbs in sentences! If you want even more practice, head over to our website and download one of our many lesson plans about adverbs, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

How Many Faces, Edges And Vertices Does A Cone Have?
Here we’ll look at how to work out the faces, edges and vertices of a cone.
We’ll start by counting the faces, these are the flat surfaces that make the cone. A cone has 1 face altogether - 1 circular base, as well as 1 curved surface.
Next we’ll work out how many edges the cone has, which are where two faces meet. A cone has 1 edge.
Next we’ll count the corners of the cone (the corners). No surprises, a cone does not have any vertices.
For the full playlist for the faces, edges and Vertices of a whole lot of 3D shapes go to https://www.youtube.com/playli....st?list=PLjbxBzUM6SL
