On this lesson, you will learn how about finding the equation of a line given two points, finding slope from two points, and finding y-intercept given two points (y=mx+b form). Let's do it!
Let's continue exploring the properties of expressions and equations as we practice and learn how to derive the equation of a line in slope-intercept (y=mx+b) form using two points.

Understand the connections between proportional relationships, lines, and linear equations.
Use similar triangles to explain why the slope m is the same between any two distinct points on a non-vertical line in the coordinate plane; derive the equation y = mx for a line through the origin and the equation y = mx + b for a line intercepting the vertical axis at b.

Multiply by drawing lines!
This might be vedic math from India.
Maybe from Japan.
Who knows - let me know in the comments!
This is a great visual way of seeing multiplication - and because it does not use any multiplication tables, it makes it accessible to all learners.

BTW....my best time is under one minute! You can beat me!
The trick to getting these types of speed distance time calculations is to think of the times used as fractions, and then apply the time formula (time = distance/speed).
Other questions can be solved using basic logic. To donate to the tecmath channel: https://paypal.me/tecmath?locale.x=en_AU To donate to the tecmath channel: https://paypal.me/tecmath?locale.x=en_AU

We look at the trigonometric functions: sine, cosine, and tangent used to work out sides and angles in right angle triangles.
You will learn the following steps -
1. Labelling the sides - opposite, adjacent and hypotenuse,
2. Determining which trig function should be used - SOHCAHTOA - (sin = opposite / hypotenuse,
cos = adjacent / hypotenuse, tan = opposite / hypotenuse)
3. Substitution of values.
4. Calculation.
By going though all the trigonomic functions this video will help you master this topic - through the use of a few math tricks! To donate to the tecmath channel: https://paypal.me/tecmath?locale.x=en_AU To donate to the tecmath channel: https://paypal.me/tecmath?locale.x=en_AU

How Many Faces, Edges And Vertices Does A Octagonal Prism Have?
Here weโll look at how to work out the faces, edges of vertices of an octagonal prism.
Weโll start by counting the faces, these are the flat surfaces that make the 3D shape. An octagonal prism has 10 faces altogether - 2 octagonal faces, as well as 8 rectangular faces.
Next weโll work out how many edges the shape has, which are where two faces meet. An octagonal prism has 24 edges.
Next weโll count the corners of the shape(the corners). Get counting! An octagonal prism has 160 vertices.
