Shows like The Walking Dead are full of hungry, mindless, surprisingly fleet-footed armies of brain-eating zombies. Could they actually exist? Are zombies real? Well, maybe if you're talking about zom-bees! This week I introduce you to some of nature's strangest mind-controlling parasites, who make zombies of the natural world. This one will make your brain tingle. That's just the awesome science, though… not a parasite. Promise!

Educational video for children to learn about heterotrophic organisms. Heterotrophs are those living beings that cannot make their own food. They must eat to obtain energy and survive. Based on their mode of nutrition, we classify heterotrophs in 3 groups: carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. Carnivores feed on other heterotrophs. Herbivores mainly eat all kinds of plants, like vegetables or fruit. Omnivores eat a huge variety of foods, like meat, vegetables and plants. This means they are carnivores and also herbivores.

Educational video for children that talks about the fourth of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): the goal of quality education. Education is the process by which people gain access to knowledge. This is what allows us to better understand our communities’ values and culture, build social skills, and get necessary training to perform different jobs. All these things make quality education extremely important for a fulfilling and independent life. That is why it is a basic right for children, adolescents and adults all over the world. This is also why it is the fourth sustainable development goal to ensure that this right is respected and that children, adolescents and adults have access to the education system. According to data from the United Nations, more than 260 million children in the world are not attending school, or rather, they cannot go to school. Sometimes this happens when children live far away from their schools and have to travel very long distances every day to go to school. Poverty is also a factor that limits access to education. Many children have to start working when they are very young in order to help their families economically, and this situation causes them to leave school before they finish their studies. Another reason that prevents access to the education system is the armed conflict or war situations that are occurring in some countries around the world.

This video is a very useful and interesting resource for children. It is perfect for teaching what the Sustainable Development Goals are and is an excellent video for primary education.

In which Jacob and Adriene teach you about the evils of fiscal policy and stimulus. Well, maybe the policies aren't evil, but there is an evil lair involved. In this episode we learn how government use taxes and spending influence the economy. Sometimes the government gives, and sometimes it takes. And the giving and the taking can have a profound effect on how economies behave.

This week, Adriene and Jacob teach you about macroeconomics. This is the stuff of big picture economics, and the major movers in the economy. Like taxes and monetary policy and inflation and policy. We need this stuff, because if you don't have a big picture of the economy, crashes and panics are more likely. Of course, economics is extremely complex and unpredictable. Today we'll talk about GDP as a measure of a country's economic health, the basics of economic analysis, and even a little about full employment, unemployment

In which John Green teaches you about one of the least funny subjects in history: slavery. John investigates when and where slavery originated, how it changed over the centuries, and how Europeans and colonists in the Americas arrived at the idea that people could own other people based on skin color.

Slavery has existed as long as humans have had civilization, but the Atlantic Slave Trade was the height, or depth, of dehumanizing, brutal, chattel slavery. American slavery ended less than 150 years ago. In some parts of the world, it is still going on. So how do we reconcile that with modern life? In a desperate attempt at comic relief, Boba Fett makes an appearance.

'Project 100,000' One of the cruellest most controversial experiments of the Vietnam War in the 1960s..
Physical strength, intelligence, and courage might be some of the values generally demanded in the ideal soldier, but in times of war, a desperate country may find that relaxing these conditions is necessary in order to swell its ranks with more troops. Put simply, the day dreamers who normally sat at the back of the class now became viable options for military service, to be followed by a few years of brutal combat operations overseas. The Authorities would find it more convenient looking the other way when someone failed an English paper if they can now be shipped off to fight on the front line of Vietnam.
