Finding Absolute Maximum and Minimum Values - Absolute Extrema
Finding Absolute Maximum and Minimum Values - Absolute Extrema Teacherflix 9 विचारों • 2 वर्षों पहले

This calculus video tutorial explains how to find the absolute maximum and minimum values of a function on a closed interval. Tto find the absolute extrema, you need to find the relative extrema by finding the first derivative of the function and the critical numbers. Plot the critical numbers on a number line to create sign chart. Using the sign chart and the first derivative test, determine what type of relative extrema is present - if it's a relative maximum or a relative minimum. Next, place the critical numbers and the endpoints of the closed interval into an x y data table and compare the y values. The absolute maximum contains highest y value and the absolute minimum has the lowest y value.

Acid Base Neutralization Reactions & Net Ionic Equations - Chemistry
Acid Base Neutralization Reactions & Net Ionic Equations - Chemistry Teacherflix 9 विचारों • 2 वर्षों पहले

This chemistry video tutorial explains how to predict the products of acid base neutralization reactions. It explains how to balance the chemical equation, write the total ionic equation, identify the spectator ions and write the net ionic equations. It discusses what to do when strong acids and weak acids are present. Weak acids should not be separated into ions in the ionic equation due to partial ionization. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems.

Half Reaction Method, Balancing Redox Reactions In Basic & Acidic Solution, Chemistry
Half Reaction Method, Balancing Redox Reactions In Basic & Acidic Solution, Chemistry Teacherflix 9 विचारों • 2 वर्षों पहले

This chemistry video tutorial provides a basic introduction into the half reaction method which is useful for balancing redox reactions in basic solution and in acidic solution. This video shows all the steps needed to balance the oxidation reduction reaction. First, separate the reaction into two half reactions. Balance the number of atoms and the charge on both sides. In acidic solution, you can add H+ and H2O to balance the particles. In Basic solution, you can use OH- and H2O to do so. Add electrons to the side with the highest charge to balance the total charge on both sides of the chemical equation. Make sure the number of electrons are the same on both half reactions before adding the two to get the net reaction and that's it.
