This calculus video tutorial explains how to find the absolute maximum and minimum values of a function on a closed interval. Tto find the absolute extrema, you need to find the relative extrema by finding the first derivative of the function and the critical numbers. Plot the critical numbers on a number line to create sign chart. Using the sign chart and the first derivative test, determine what type of relative extrema is present - if it's a relative maximum or a relative minimum. Next, place the critical numbers and the endpoints of the closed interval into an x y data table and compare the y values. The absolute maximum contains highest y value and the absolute minimum has the lowest y value.

This organic chemistry video tutorial explains difference between chiral molecules and achiral molecules and how to find them by drawing a line of symmetry. It shows you how to identify the chirality centers or carbon atoms with 4 different groups as well as determining the number of stereoisomers using the formula 2^n where n is the number of stereocenters or asymmetric carbon atoms. This video also helps you to identify a pair of meso compounds which are identical to each other and a possess an internal plane of symmetry. It also discusses how to find a pair of enantiomers which are non-superimposable mirror images of each other such as your left hand and your right hand. When teaching the days of the week or months of the year, students learn much more than just the names of days and months. Kids Academy presents a days of the week song and months of the year song for preschool and early primary level students that is engaging, bright and fun.

The days of the week song shows Elephant on each day of the week doing fun activities. As the video plays, the lyrics to the song appear on the bottom of the screen. Emergent readers read and sing along, and younger students quickly learn the song with repetitive and predictable words.
The months of the year song also features Elephant on a walk through each month. As Elephant travels through the year, each month’s name is said. The animation provides students with activities and holidays specific to that month. In January, New Year’s Day is celebrated. The April scene shows Elephant gardening, and October is all about pumpkins and bats.

Children learn with these songs! Days of the week and months of the year are two of the first “time” concepts young children learn. Students learn sequence and also counting. With this knowledge, students better comprehend what and when activities, holidays, and events happen. In addition to math, students learn vocabulary. Knowing the names of days and months allows for better expressive language. Emergent readers learn to read the day and month words easily with the videos too. And finally, knowing how the seasons and holidays relate to each month provides students with social studies knowledge.

Teachers and parents use these songs in daily or morning meetings. The videos benefit students who need a review or reteaching on these concepts. These clips are perfect for the school or home classroom.

What is society? In this video, we will talk about this and other topics. We will learn the definition of society, its functions, and its qualities. We will look at different types of societies, their goals, and values. Students will learn about the differences between society and community, and how the two concepts can overlap. We will talk about the laws & rights governing a society, as well as the shared attributes and responsibilities of its members.

Another topic of this video is citizenship - the concept in general and citizenship for kids in particular. We will find out what it means to be a good citizen: holding a door for someone, being polite, contributing to the community, and other examples.

When we speak of society and citizenship we can’t but mention the government. We will look at local government departments on the municipal and state levels: water department, fire department, sanitation, police, transportation, recreation, and others. We will cover different branches of the federal government: legislative, judicial, and executive as well as different jobs within the government of the United States including the president for kids to understand how the system works.

When we discuss the laws and rights of the US citizens we must consider:

the voting rights and why their important,
civil rights such as freedom of speech, and how the activists of the civil rights movement helped bring these rights to all American citizens
how the rights are protected by law, and what responsibilities they entail

Lyrics

The wheels on the bus go round and round.
round and round.
round and round.
The wheels on the bus go round and round,
all through the town!

The people on the bus go up and down.
up and down.
up and down.
The people on the bus go up and down,
all through the town!

The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep.
beep, beep beep.
beep, beep, beep.
The horn on the bus goes beep, beep, beep.
all through the town!

The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish.
swish, swish, swish.
swish, swish, swish.
The wipers on the bus go swish, swish, swish,
all through the town!

The signals on the bus go blink, blink, blink.
blink, blink, blink.
blink, blink, blink.
The signals on the bus go blink, blink, blink,
all through the town!

The motor on the bus goes zoom, zoom, zoom.
zoom, zoom, zoom.
zoom, zoom, zoom.
The motor on the bus goes zoom, zoom, zoom,
all through the town!

The babies on the bus go waa, waa, waa.
waa, waa, waa.
waa, waa, waa.
The babies on the bus go waa, waa, waa,
all through the town!

The parents on the bus go shh, shh, shh.
shh, shh, shh.
shh, shh, shh.
The parents on the bus go shh, shh, shh,
all through the town!

The mummy on the bus says I love you.
I love you, I love you
The daddy on the bus says I love you, too.
All through the town.
