Improved math is a channel created to provide additional instruction on essential math concepts. I’m passionate about math and I know first-hand how important math concepts are in the real world.

Teachers, parents, guardians, homeschoolers, and students can use these videos to help reinforce math skills. These math videos are designed to help teach yourself math or provide self-study math tools to assist when additional instruction is needed. Teaching math and learning math has changed the way many students learn in this virtual environment. Having on-demand math videos can provide math tutoring needed when children are not able to get help from their teachers after school hours or when trying to do math at home.

The library of math tutorials that I create can also be used as supplemental instructional material for homeschool math. Each full-length video comes with a subsequent knowledge check or math practice problems which serve as a virtual math topic worksheet to test your understanding of each skill. These videos can be paused to work out the problems on your own, then unpaused to check your answers. All of these videos can be found under the Knowledge Check playlist.

I also have a library of shorter videos (less than 1 minute in length - shorts) that are quick math tips and tricks on basic math topics. Some of these short math help videos include problems that you can work on yourself and submit your answers in the comments. They are all listed under my Math Tips and Tricks playlist.

Improved math is creating more videos every day to cover topics from 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, and 7th-grade math. The videos focus on fractions, basic math operations, geometry, and ratios but more topics are being added all the time. The emergence of ChatGPT in November of 2022 took the world by storm: particularly the world of education. With this technology able to generate complex pieces of writing, solve advanced math equations, generate code, and more with the push of a button, educators across the country have entered a state of panic. How are educators supposed to teach students when they have this technology at their literal fingertips?

For too long, the field of education has been teetering at the precipice of serious change, and the widespread accessibility of generative AI may just be the catalyst education needs in order to progress in tandem with the rest of the world. But first, educators need to reevaluate their answer to the tough question: why do we teach?

Natasha Berg, M.Ed. works as the Multimedia and Technology Integration Specialist at a local high school in South Dakota. She has spent her career learning about and developing her skills in education and educational technology. Berg believes that new and emerging technology should be integrated into classrooms as it fully prepares students to enter the 21st century workforce and helps make learning accessible to students of all abilities. Who is George Washington Carver? He wasn't the first President of the United States, even though his name is very similar! In this video, you and your kids will learn about this incredible scientist. You will discover many interesting facts about the history and life of this special man. For instance, George Washington Carver's exact birth date remains a mystery! Because he was born into slavery, his birth records were not kept. And he, one of his sister's, and his mom were kidnapped by Confederate raiders when he was a baby! He was eventually found, however, and returned to the Carver farm where he was born.

Unlike other boys his age, George didn't work in the fields. He was taught how to tend to the kitchen garden. And what a stroke of luck for the world! George learned all about plants and how to improve their health. He was very intelligent and graduated high school at a young age. His passion for plants led him to study botany in college. After graduating, he was asked to teach agriculture at a Tuskegee College.

Throughout his life, he discovered many wonderful things about plants that would end up helping farmers grow larger and healthier crops. These discoveries spread throughout the world. One of the most famous is his realization that growing and harvesting peanuts every other year or so with cotton kept a specific pest away from the crops and yielded healthier soil. Even though many farmers resisted initially, George came up with several inventive uses for peanuts that would make growing peanut crops worthwhile.

George Washington Carver's life work earned him several special nicknames: The Plant Doctor, The Peanut Man, The Farmer's Friend. We celebrate him and his life on January 5, George Washington Carver Recognition Day.

ChatGPT can help anyone become a speed learner, if you know how to use it. In this video I'll show you the ways I encourage my university students to use AI to enhance their learning WITHOUT cheating. These include using ChatGPT to:
1. Research a topic
2. Create outlines for essays or papers
3. Create flashcards
4. Make Quiz Questions
5. Engage in the Socratic Method

But as a college professor, I also teach my students how NOT TO use AI in the classroom. Watch to the end to learn how to use ChatGPT in the classroom without cheating. Academic integrity is important!

Community is an important social studies standard for kindergarten and first grade. Learning about communities as a kindergartener or a 1st grader needs to be meaningful for kids, and something they can relate to in their own worlds and lifestyles.

In this charming video compilation that teaches about communities for kindergarten and communities for 1st grade, your child will be able to answer the question, “What is a community?” When learning about community, kids learn how they and their family and friends fit in bigger pictures of their world and in their bigger communities at large.

They’ll learn that a community is a place where people live together, full of many places to visit and many people to see. They’ll individually walk through the colorful worksheets that ask them, “What Is A Neighbor?” and “What Do You See In A Community,” as well as learn social studies for kindergarten and first grade standards.

As they travel through the various community-focused activities, they’ll also learn about neighbors for grade 1, and that neighbors live near each other in communities. This video also walks students through various worksheets that teach about kindergarten community concepts and 1st grade community concepts, including what makes a home a home for people in a community.
