Para quem já conhece o GeoGebra e está com dúvida de como fazer gráficos de função, aqui está o tutorial!
Percentages, fractions and decimals are essential for high school maths students - yet a lot of students need extra help on these.
It is first of all important to realise that percentage, fractions and decimals are essentially describing the same thing - that is - they are describing a part of an amount.
Percentages describe part of an amount out of 100 - an easy way to think of this is if you think of cents in the dollar - e.g. 25% is like having 25 cents out of a dollar.
Fractions describe parts by telling us how many parts an object is out of another - for example - you have a pizza - cut it into 8 parts and eat 3 bits - thats 3/8 parts are eaten.
What is very important to understand with fractions is that they are written so that the top number is dividing the bottom number. 1/4 means 1 divided by 4, which equals 0.25 (decimal) or 25% percentage.
Decimals decribe a part of a number out of 1. For example 0.5 is 0.5 out of 1 or 1/2 or 50%....

For 40 million years, everyone thought the ancient Tintina Fault in Canada was long dead. But now—scientists say it’s waking up. Near Dawson City, fresh cracks and movements show the ground isn’t as still as it seems. The strain beneath the surface has built up to nearly six meters—enough to trigger an earthquake stronger than magnitude 7.5 if it suddenly lets go. And here’s the shocking part: this massive fault isn’t even listed on Canada’s official seismic hazard map. Join us as we uncover what this means for the North—and whether the next big quake might come from a place no one expected.

Any action you take upon the information in this video is strictly at your own risk, and we will not be liable for any damages or losses. It is the viewer's responsibility to use judgement, care and precaution if you plan to replicate.
NOTE: We would like to correct two errors in this video. T-Rexes were not ornithischians; they were saurischians. Additionally, the correct pronunciation of giganotosaurus is jai-ga-nuh-tuh-saw-ruhs. We apologize for the inconvenience.
When you think about dinosaurs, is the tyrannosaurs rex the first to come to mind? Maybe not, but we're sure you have at least heard of it! In this video for kids, you will learn fun facts about this king of the tyrant lizards.
The tyrannosaurs rex, or T-Rex, was an apex predator. That means that it was at the very top of the food chain; it was prey to no other animal. From snout to tail, it was up to 40 feet long, and it weighed 7 to 8 tons. That's as long and as heavy as a modern school bus! Despite the large size, these creatures could run as fast as 25 miles per hour!
The T-Rex had a strong sense of smell that helped them find prey as well as potential mates. In fact, their sense of smell is really similar to that of a house cat! And technically, the T-Rex is a distant cousin of the chicken as well. Some scientists even think the T-Rex might have had feathers.
Now, what about the arms? Well, watch the video to find out about these small but strong appendages.
We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about these four different landforms! If you want to learn even more, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans about dinosaurs, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

*This video was published in 2015 and therefore does not reflect recent historical events, nor context about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.*
In which John Green teaches you about the conflict in Israel and Palestine. This conflict is often cast as a long-term beef going back thousands of years, rooted in a clash between religions. Well, that's not quite true. What is true is that the conflict is immensely complicated, and just about everyone in the world has an opinion about it. John is going to try to get the facts across in under 13 minutes.

In All about the UK for Kids, you will learn about the four countries that make up the United Kingdom. When people mention the UK, they are not talking about a country but about the countries that are part of it! Those four countries are England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. And no, Northern Ireland is not the same as Ireland. Those are two separate countries, and Ireland is not part of the UK.
The official name of this collection of countries is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. That's because Great Britain constitutes England, Scotland, and Wales.
The largest country by both area and population is England. Believe it or not, even though Northern Ireland is an entire country, fewer people live there than in London, England! London is home to nearly 9 million people, while Northern Ireland in its entirely is home to about 1.8 million people.
There are some really interesting places to visit throughout the UK. One of them is Loch Ness in Scotland. The word "loch" means lake, so the loch ness monster is the monster of Lake Ness. Another fascinating place is the tower of Big Ben. What you may not know is that the actual name of Big Ben is Great Bell. And Big Ben doesn't refer to the tower but to the bell itself. Let's see what else you can learn!
We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about George Washington Carver! If you want even more information, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

Simple Machines for Kids teaches all about the main 6 simple machines in a fun and interactive way. We will learn about the different simple machines, which are; Incline Plane, Lever, Wedge, Screw, Wheel and Axle, and the Pulley. Almost any machine is created with one of these elements.
The inclined plane can be found in many places. It is triangular shaped with a smooth and even surface and helps move objects to higher or lower places.
The lever is a beam with a ridge that freely rotates or moves on a pivot. It helps you move heavy objects with ease.
The wedge is often attached to a handle. Used for cutting, splitting, tightening, to hold back or together, or for scraping.
Screws are cylinders with a solid top at one end, and a pointed
tip at the other end. Used to hold things together as they pull or push the object.
The large disc is the wheel and the small cylinder is the axle. The wheel is one of the greatest inventions in human history, but would not work without the axle.
A wheel with a groove in it, and a rope in the groove is called a pulley. A pulley lifts or lowers objects of different weights with relative ease.

Letra
bailan tango, twist y rock and roll,
Mambo, break dance, la salsa y la rumba
bailan todos menos Roco el hurón.
Bailan chachachá y bailan agogo
bailan tango, twist y rock and roll,
bailan tango, twist y rock and roll,
Mambo, break dance, la salsa y la rumba
bailan todos menos Roco el hurón.
Bailan chachachá y bailan agogo
bailan tango, twist y rock and roll,
Mambo, break dance, la salsa y la rumba
bailan todos menos Roco el hurón.
Baila Roco baila Roco baila Roco baila
Baila Roco baila Roco baila Roco baila
Baila Roco baila Roco baila Roco baila
Baila Roco baila Roco baila Roco baila
Baila che, baila Harlem shake,
baila polka, swing y merengue también,
Luego baila che, baila Harlem shake,
baila polka, swing y merengue también.
Y bailan chachachá y bailan agogo
bailan tango, twist y rock and roll,
Mambo, break dance, la salsa y la rumba
bailan todos junto a Roco el huron.
Bailan chachachá y bailan agogo
bailan tango, twist y rock and roll,
Mambo, break dance, la salsa y la rumba
bailan todos junto a Roco el huron,

North Korea is one of the most isolated and closed off countries in the world. Its official name is the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The country is roughly the size of the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. And its total population is estimated to be around 25 million people. In All about North Korea for Kids, you will learn a lot more about this country, even though it's not easy to visit.
The government in North Korea is communist, meaning that it controls the lives of most of its citizens, even down to people's haircut! There are only 28 approved haircuts, so every citizen must choose from that list which hair style they want. Citizens can also be arrested for watching certain movies or practicing certain religions. They are also not allowed to talk about ideas that go against the government.
The government also controls the media and news. Propaganda, or news that makes the country look good, is common in the country, and there is no internet access. In fact, most North Koreans have never even seen a computer. Additionally, few people are allowed to leave the country, and only a few people are allowed to visit. Those individuals can only see approved parts of North Korea and are watched closely.
When Japan lost the war in World War II, the Soviets gained control of northern half of the Korean peninsula, so North Korea became a communist country. The Americans controlled the southern half, so South Korea became a democratic country. When the Soviets left in 1948, many conflicts between the two Korean countries arose. After a resulting Korean war, the same family has maintained control of North Korea and kept it isolated from the world.
