Learn how the tectonic plates move. Learn how the tectonic plates move. Alfred Wegener was the first Scientist to propose that the continents fit together like a puzzle and over time moved apart. His idea was brilliant but he had a problem. He couldn’t explain how the plates moved apart.
Since this time Scientists have proposed at least four mechanisms to explain how tectonic plates move over the Earth’s surface.
These four mechanisms include,
mantle convection
Ridge Push
Slab Pull
And Slab Suction

Students learn about coordinate systems in general by considering questions concerning what it is that the systems are expected do, and who decided how they look. They attempt to make their own coordinate systems using a common area across all groups and compete to see who can make the best one. Then they analyze why it is that some systems work better than others and consider what those observations mean for evaluating and choosing geographic coordinate systems commonly available today.

Students practice the initial steps involved in an engineering design challenge. They begin by reviewing the steps of the engineering design loop and discussing the client need for the project. Next, they identify a relevant context, define the problem within their design teams, and examine the project's requirements and constraints. (Note: Conduct this activity in the context of a design project that students are working on, which could be a challenge determined by the teacher, brainstormed with the class, or the example project challenge provided [to design a prosthetic arm that can perform a mechanical function].)

Learning alphabets can be a challenge for kids at times. Since every letter or alphabet Is different from the other. Well, if your kid is having issues as well the. Here are some things he needs to know to figure out when to use the capital letters and when to use the small ones. Okay, so the very first thing a child needs to know is that the first letter of every proper noun is always capital. Now what is a proper noun, one may ask. Sorting objects in preschool is a necessary and vital skill. Sorting teaches and reinforces so many concepts! Colors, shapes, sizes, describing words, vocabulary, logic, and reasoning are learned when preschool and kindergarten students sort. The simple act of sorting objects by color, size or shape prepares students for challenging problem solving as they get older.
The video depicts a scene that many students recognize. A friendly elephant is playing in some leaves in a park. The season is fall, so there are many leaves of different colors on the ground. The elephant then sorts the leaves in different ways. The leaves are sorted by shape. Oak leaves are put in one heap and Maple leaves in another. The leaves are different sizes as well so the leaves are sorted into piles of big and little leaves. And finally, the leaves are sorted by color. The animation in the video is fun and inviting for young students and the language is easy to understand.
In addition to the video and digital games, hands-on sorting objects activities for preschoolers are found everywhere in the home and school environment. Sorting toys by color, shape, and size is a fun activity. Students enjoy sorting themselves by hair color, shirt color or by who is wearing shorts or pants. Sorting pom poms, shells and even cereal are great ideas!
Once preschoolers master the basics, they are ready for more difficult activities with sorting objects in kindergarten. Ask kindergarten students to sort objects by two attributes such as by gender and clothing. For example, sort girls wearing pants and boys wearing pants. Use this video to introduce sorting to kindergarteners or as a reteaching or introduction activity to grade-level K math.
Sorting preschool activities are an integral part of math instruction for young learners. This video engages and teaches students with bright, inviting animation and a story that allows children to “see” math in their everyday world.

Recommended video: Q&A THE CELL
https://youtu.be/TCqYuFPBfCI
Hello happy friends, are you ready to learn? I’m sarah, and today we’re going to play a q&a game about animals’ vital functions.
Before we start, do you know what animals’ vital functions are? The three vital functions, all animals have to meet so they are able to live?
Of course! They are nutrition, interaction and reproduction.
Now let’s head for the first question:
Do you know what type of diet a bear has? A bear can be an omnivore
herbivore
or carnivore
Exactly! Bears are omnivores! They can eat both plants and meat. Let’s learn a little more about them!
According to their diet, animals can be herbivores...carnivores or omnivores, Herbivores eat plants and herbs, like this giraffe. Within herbivore animals, there are two very special ones, they are ruminants. Ruminants, like goats or cows swallow foods almost without chewing, and they store it, they keep it in their stomachs. Then, when they want to, they return it to their mouths, chew and swallow it again. It seems a bit disgusting, but ruminants are like this.
Carnivore animals only feed On meat and need to hunt to get it. Lions, sharks or eagles are carnivore animals.
Omnivore animals are herbivores on and carnivores at the same time. They eat meat, and vegetables. Bears and hens are omnivores and do you know who else? … people! Human beings are are also omnivores, we can eat chicken, or a salad with its lettuce and tomatoes.
We now know that animals, depending on their diet can be carnivores, herbivores or omnivores. Let’s head to the next question:
What do animals use to interact?
Their nose and mouth
Sound
Or the sense organs.
Of course! To be able to interact, animals use all sense organs, let’s get to know why.
Animals need to get to know the environment, to know what’s happening around them and react before it.
To do this, they use their sense organs.
with their eyes, they can see what’s happening around them, like eagles, who have an excellent eyesight. With their ears, they can hear if an animal with cruel intentions is approaching. With their mouth, they can eat and know if something is good or bad. With their nose, they can detect if there’s tasty food around them and with their skin, thorough touch, they feel tender petting and tickles too!
That’s so interesting! Now we’ve learnt more about interaction function. Let’s head for the last question:
Do you know which of these animals reproduce through eggs, meaning it’s oviparous.
A crocodile,
A bat,
or a mouse
Exactly! Crocodiles reproduce through eggs, like all reptiles. Let’s get to know a little more about animal reproduction.
The reproduction function lets animals create new animals and ensuring future life. Animals have two ways of reproducing. Viviparous animals, are born directly from their mothers wombs. Look, look at how this calf is born from its mother's womb. All mammals like these dolphins or these lions are viviparous. Oviparous animals are born from the eggs their mothers lay. Birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and almost all invertebrates are oviparous. But there are some animals that can reproduce in other ways. EarthWorms and starfish can reproduce through excision. when a starfish is cut, it divides in two more pieces, each one of them grows and turns into a new starfish. Nature is incredible, don’t you think?
I’m sure you’ve answered all questions correctly, but if you haven’t it’s okay because as I always say, the most important thing is that you’re always wanting to learn and have lots of fun!
Goodbye happy friends! See you next time! Oh and don’t forget to subscribe to happy learning tv.
This chemistry video lecture tutorial focuses on thermochemistry. It provides a list of formulas and equations that you need to know as well as the appropriate units. It provides a nice review covering topics such as the internal energy of a system, the surroundings, endothermic vs exothermic processes, work, pressure, and volume. It explains the difference between work done on the system vs work done by the system. It also shows you how to calculate q, the amount of heat absorbed or released by a system for processes that involve a temperature change or a phase change including the specific heat capacity concept of water. This video also discusses thermochemical equations and reactions and how to do thermochemical stoichiometry and conversions. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems.
