The main function of the circulatory system is to carry, through the blood, the nutrients to the cells of our body. It is formed by the heart, arteries and veins and its proper functioning is essential for us to have good health. I have a curiosity Do you know how much all the artery and veins would measure together, put in single file? They would measure 97,000 kilometres, which would be equivalent to almost two and a half laps to Earth, it's incredible, right?

The heart has the main role in making sure that the blood travels around the body. With its one hundred thousand pulsations per day it ensures that blood circulates throughout our body allowing it to distribute oxygen and nutrients into our cells.

We are going to start a journey through the circulatory system so we can understand it much better.

The journey of blood begins in the heart. With the pulsations of the heart the blood comes out through one of the great highways of the circulatory system called the Aorta.

From that moment, the blood flows through our body through many veins. It reaches the neck, head and brain through one side. From there, the blood continues to flow into our arms then through the aorta, around the thorax and abdomen and finally reaching both of our legs.

During this trip, the blood is delivering oxygen and nutrients to the cells through the capillary veins.

As this trip is circular, that is to say it has no end, the blood starts the trip back to the heart to regain nutrients and oxygen.

On June 6, 2024, our expert panelists shared their experiences to design and adapt STEM programming, utilize assistive technologies, and foster a supportive learning environment for students with disabilities. From leveraging student input when formulating inclusive tools to implementing Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, we delved into practical methods to engage and empower all learners in STEM subjects.

Alphabet flashcards are an excellent product for parents and teachers of preschool aged children. There are 56 two-sided alphabet cards in the pack that are designed to familiarize children with the English language alphabet in an educational and playful way!

When you're a preschool teacher, you often have to find ways to make learning fun and play-based, turning activities into games. Letter flash cards enable you to teach the alphabet by turning the process into a fun group activity. You can hold up the cards for the kids to see and they can tell you which letter is on the card--this way learning becomes an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge with their peers in a friendly "competition"!

The letters are printed in bold font on a white background
Each card has one letter displayed in both capital and lowercase format
These English flashcards not only feature the letters on the cards, but also feature bright pictures of an item which starts with that letter of the alphabet. So, the cards not only enable children to learn the alphabet, but also increases their vocabulary capacity! The cards make great flashcards for toddlers.

Complete K12 essentials Youtube channel and Complete K12 Essentials.com was created to offer parents and teachers an online augmentation or alternative when public schools are not available. The need for standard curriculum that can be delivered via the internet became obvious during the pandemic of 2020. Teachers and school districts were left to create lesson plans and somehow connect with the students with very little time. The challenge was to give each child a method to connect with teachers and class mates to simulate a natural learning environment. Although we are still building our library of video lessons, you can use our videos to create lesson plans, review standardized material, introduce building blocks and drills, as well as assigning tests and quizzes on limited videos, such as vocabulary. Many offerings online lean on animation to capture a child’s attention, which to a certain extent works, but they lose interest rapidly and the opportunities for learning are significantly reduced. This is especially true when the child has no obligation to retain the material or accountability to a teacher. Navigating through the material suitable for each grade level is a difficult task at best, so we have created the “SAFE LEARNING PLACE” logo and apply it to all of our videos to show you our dedication to providing good learning material that can be trusted across our whole channel. The curriculum will cover Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Technology, Music, Art, Health and Fitness, Foreign Languages, Life Skills, Career training, History and Law.

Looking at the prefix, tri-, you could probably assume that trigonometry ("trig" as it's sometimes called) has something to do with triangles. You would be right!
