FUN FACTS ABOUT HALLOWEEN

Hello Friends, welcome to a new Happy Learning Video. Look at these images! Witches, Monsters, Ghosts, living deadโ€ฆ yes, itโ€™s arrivedโ€ฆ Halloween! and laughs and scares, and candy!

But do you know what Halloweenโ€™s origins are? Do you know why we use pumpkins so often? Today, weโ€™re going to get to know lots of things that you didnโ€™t know aboutโ€ฆ The night of the living dead!

There are many theories about Halloweenโ€™s origins, but the most spreaded one, says that this party started thousands of years ago in Irland, were the Celts celebrated the end of harvesting and the start of autumn.

Over time, it was celebrated on the 31st of October, which was when they believed spirits from the dead came back to life. Because this was very scary, everyone would dress up as a ghost or zombie, so spirits wouldnโ€™t recognize them, and wouldnโ€™t attack them. Also, so they wouldnโ€™t get upset, sweets and candy were left at doorsteps for them.

Because there was no electric light, pumpkins, were used as lanterns. Pumpkins were carved and emptied, to be filled with candles and red hot coal, to guide the spirits with their light! Butโ€ฆ there are people who also believe pumpkins were placed on doorsteps with face shapes to scare off the spirits.

Now weโ€™ve got to know things we didnโ€™t know about Halloween, everyone letโ€™s dress upโ€ฆ Goodbye friends! See you in the next happy learning video. Ah! And donโ€™t forget to subscribe to Happy Learning tv! Trick or treat!

Improved math is a channel created to provide additional instruction on essential math concepts. Iโ€™m passionate about math and I know first-hand how important math concepts are in the real world.

Teachers, parents, guardians, homeschoolers, and students can use these videos to help reinforce math skills. These math videos are designed to help teach yourself math or provide self-study math tools to assist when additional instruction is needed. Teaching math and learning math has changed the way many students learn in this virtual environment. Having on-demand math videos can provide math tutoring needed when children are not able to get help from their teachers after school hours or when trying to do math at home.

The library of math tutorials that I create can also be used as supplemental instructional material for homeschool math. Each full-length video comes with a subsequent knowledge check or math practice problems which serve as a virtual math topic worksheet to test your understanding of each skill. These videos can be paused to work out the problems on your own, then unpaused to check your answers. All of these videos can be found under the Knowledge Check playlist.

I also have a library of shorter videos (less than 1 minute in length - shorts) that are quick math tips and tricks on basic math topics. Some of these short math help videos include problems that you can work on yourself and submit your answers in the comments. They are all listed under my Math Tips and Tricks playlist.

Improved math is creating more videos every day to cover topics from 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, and 7th-grade math. The videos focus on fractions, basic math operations, geometry, and ratios but more topics are being added all the time. If there is a specific topic you would like to see covered, drop me a comment in one of my videos and let me know!

Free math help videos will be posted every Thursday and Friday. For additional math resources, check out my math help website at improvedmath.com where I post math worksheets and answers along with additional context on math basics.

Thanks for watching my channel.

Converting a standard form quadratic function to a graph can be accomplished by finding the y-intercept, vertex, and x-intercepts (if they exist) and fitting a parabola to those points. It is easy to find these points when a quadratic function is in Standard Form because they can all be found by plugging a, b, and c into particular formulas.

y-intercept: (0,f(0))
vertex: (-b/2a,f(-b/2a))
x-intercepts: use quadratic formula

What is the difference between bacteria and viruses? In Bacteria and Viruses for Kids, you will learn all about these two microorganisms. The first thing you will learn is that not all bacteria are bad. In fact, the majority of bacteria on the planet and in your body are actually good. You can find bacteria in things like yogurt, soy sauce, and pickles!

So what are bacteria? They are single-celled organisms so small that you can't see them without a microscope. They don't have a nucleus like other single-celled Common shapes include rods, spirals, and spheres. All these organisms move in different ways too. Some move like swimmers using tail-like structures called flagella. Others stay still and don't move much at all. Then there are some that slither or slide their way around.

Most bacteria are not harmful. However, there are some that can make you sick. These are called pathogens. Common pathogens include food poisoning, leprosy, and typhoid fever. To fight these pathogens, you can use antibiotics or antiseptics. You can actually find antiseptics in soaps because it's how you keep your hands clean. Good bacteria, on the other hand, are good for many reasons. They help you digest food and keep your immune system strong. They also break down dead plant and animal material to help keep soil healthy. And, they produce about half of the oxygen in the atmosphere!

What about viruses? All viruses are bad. Scientists debate whether these organisms are living or dead because they don't have an organized cell structure and can't reproduce unless they attach themselves to a living cell. The word virus comes from the Latin word for "slimy liquid." These organisms attack healthy cells. As those cells reproduce, the virus reproduces too and spreads. Many kinds can pass from person to person through hand-shaking, food contact, and through water.

Ever wonder why we cook our food? We do it because it tastes good, of course, and because our customs and traditions are built around it. But we also cook our food for some basic biological reasons, because of evolution. Some scientists think that figuring out how to cook actually MADE us human!

This physics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into kirchoff's voltage law which states that the sum of all the voltages in a loop must add to zero. This video explains how to solve kcl circuits by using kirchoff's loop rule to calculate the current flowing in a series circuit with multiple batteries / voltage sources. This video also explains how to calculate the electric potential at every point using ohm's law. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems.
