The Cold war was a time of espionage between the CIA and KGB and other organisations. Technology played a key role in an agent's inventory, gadgets were well disguised and portable some were even deadly.

'On the Tip'
Innovative research conducted in Lausanne, Switzerland has shown that a combination of neurotransmitters and electrical stimulation can restore movement to the lower limbs of previously paralysed rats. But in order for this motion to be made voluntarily the rats must be motivated to walk. This motivation comes in the form of cheering, visual cues, and of course, chocolate.

Special thanks to Prof. Mason Porter at UCLA who I interviewed for this video.
I have long wanted to make a video about chaos, ever since reading James Gleick's fantastic book, Chaos. I hope this video gives an idea of phase space - a picture of dynamical systems in which each point completely represents the state of the system. For a pendulum, phase space is only 2-dimensional and you can get orbits (in the case of an undamped pendulum) or an inward spiral (in the case of a pendulum with friction). For the Lorenz equations we need three dimensions to show the phase space. The attractor you find for these equations is said to be strange and chaotic because there is no loop, only infinite curves that never intersect. This explains why the motion is so unpredictable - two different initial conditions that are very close together can end up arbitrarily far apart.

Nuclear Energy Explained: How does it work?
Nuclear Energy is a controversial subject. The pro- and anti-nuclear lobbies fight furiously, and it's difficult to decide who is right. So we're trying to clear up the issue - in this video we discuss how we got to where we are today, as the basis for discussion. Next week we'll be looking at the arguments for and against nuclear power in detail.

Big Bug and Little Bug - ABCmouse.com Beginning Reader Series
Introducing the --ug word family!
When the little bug falls into a hole, the big bug is there to save the day. An amusing story about sharing and helping others, this animated video is based on a story from ABCmouse.com's Beginning Reader Series called 'Big Bug and Little Bug.' The ABCmouse.com Beginning Reader Word Family Series introduces young learners to the joys of reading through stories that emphasize word families (a word family is a group of words with the same ending sound and letters, such as bug, dug, and hug).

An introduction to the Interpretations of Quantum Mechanics. The first 500 people to sign up via my link will get two FREE months of Skillshare Premium: https://skl.sh/domainofscience
The interpretations of quantum physics are a collection of attempts of many physicists to try and make quantum physics make sense. The measurement problem and entanglement are notions that are confusing to us humans and people puzzle over questions like: Is the wave function real or just mathematics? What does a subatomic particle really look like? What is particle-wave duality really? That is where the interpretations of quantum physics come in. This is my attempt to cover the main ones.

Hello, first of all we want to congratulate you all on the upcoming holidays. This is a Kids Academy and we have prepared for you a new song for children Snow Song.
You know that Christmas and New Year are coming soon, so let's sing a children's song about snow together. Good and happy holidays to you!
Snow! Everywhere I go!
Welcome to USA, Brazil, India, United Kingdom, Philippines, Australia, Canada
When wintertime strikes
and windows are icy
I look out and i see
a magical, fantastic
land of snow
I’m rushing outside
the sun and the blue sky
completely seduced by
a magical, fantastic
land of frozen light
Snow!!!
Everywhere I go
Snow!!!
Winterland, hello
I love it so!
Oh – oh -oh -ohoh -oh -oh
This magical, fantastic
land of snow!
and about ten o’ clock
time for a break in a log hut
a nice cup of hot chocolate
sugar cream and
marshmallows on top
then back to the snow
we’re building a snowman
right here in his home land
a magical, fantastic
winter wonderland
Snow!!!
Everywhere I go
Snow!!!
Winterland, hello
I love it so!
Oh – oh -oh -ohoh -oh -oh
This magical, fantastic
land of snow!
skiing
slading
racing
up and down the hill
how i
love to
play around in the snow
Snow!!!
Everywhere I go
Snow!!!
Winterland, hello
I love it so!
Oh – oh -oh -ohoh -oh -oh
This magical, fantastic
land of snow!

Educational video for children that talks about the fifth of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), gender equality. Gender equality is when all people, regardless of their gender, have the same opportunities, rights and benefits and are treated with respect in all parts of their lives. The conditions women have lived in throughout history have meant that the fight for equality is focused on giving them the same rights as men. Only 13% of the world's land is owned by women. Women continue to be paid less for similar jobs and have less access to education. For these and many other reasons, gender equality is one of the top sustainable development goals for the United Nations. Equality is not only a fundamental human right, it is one of the foundations for building a peaceful and sustainable world. Although much progress has been made, women and girls around the world still do not have access to the same opportunities as men. To put an end to this situation, it is important to change some laws, rethink certain customs, and promote policies that put an end to the injustices against women and girls around the world.
This video is a very useful and interesting resource for children. It is perfect for teaching what the Sustainable Development Goals are. It is an excellent video for primary education.
