Reality is not real. Your world is a prediction. Every sight, sound, and touch you experience is the result of calculations your brain makes before reality even reaches you. It fills in gaps, fabricates details, and even alters time itself so you feel like you’re in control. But if everything you know is an illusion… what does that say about you? What does it mean for your choices? Is there even free will?

Learn to Read | Read Words In Order | Reading for Kids | Kids Academy

Reading forms a very important part of the child’s initial academics. It is also a very difficult lesson for kids and mostly it is seen that kids struggle with it. However, if it is made easy and everything is explained to the kid in an easy way this can also become a very easy and a very interesting lesson.

It is important for teachers and parents to know that each kid is different, and each kid takes a different amount of time to grasp a concept. Therefore, putting pressure on the kid will not help him/her to get any better.
Now how can you help the kid to read fluently? There are some simple tips and tricks that you can follow to make reading for preschool and kindergarten kids easy.

1. Practice makes a man perfect
Read with your kid as much as you can. Be patient and don’t expect the child to start reading just after a few readings. With more and more practice the kid will slowly start understanding the sounds and alphabets and how they are working together. Start with small words.

2. Don’t burden the child
It is important the kid does not feel too much pressurized. If you burden the kid with a new difficult word every day it would become very difficult for him/her to cope up with it. So, take things slowly let the kid get familiarized with some words and then move forward.

3. Read what the kid likes
It’s better than you read a storybook that the kid likes, it would create more interest in the child and he would be more curious to read and understand what his/her favorite characters are saying. It would enhance the learning process.

4. Encourage participation
Encourage the kid to participate in the process and read with you. Ask questions while reading for example if you are reading a story with a dog in it, every once in a while, ask ‘so where is the dog?’. This will keep the child attentive and also, they will be better able to identify individual words.

So, these are some of the best ways in which you can learn to read for kids

Learn to Play Chess | Double Check | Kids Academy

Double check is a check by two pieces all at the same time. When it comes to playing chess, the double check is always considered equally as a single check.

The only difference lies in the symbolic representation of both the terms. A single check is represented by “+” and a double check is represented by “++”. However, the sign “++” is sometimes used to indicate checkmate too.

In double check, one piece moves to deliver a check and reveal an already discovered check that it was blocking before. Discovery is the best way to destroy your opponent.

You can learn more about the double check move on the internet. All you have to do is to type “learn chess for kids” online and you will have several results pop up on your screen.

Round down to the nearest 100 | 3rd Grade | Kids Academy

Little ones are cute and like to have fun all the time but learning is important for them as well. It is obvious that you cannot make them read books. Nursery rhymes are a wonderful option through which they enjoy while learning. You can see them smile and grin while they enjoy listening to these amazingly sweet nursery rhymes. You can get nursery rhymes for everything including alphabets, vegetable names, fruit names, and numbers. These baby songs are thoroughly enjoyable for kids and they enjoy a lot while learning these basic concepts.
What can your kid learn through nursery rhymes?
Quality nursery rhymes and baby songs can make your infant learn a lot of things including the following.

• Alphabets

Learning alphabets is a tough ask for the young one mainly because they are 26 in number. Along with that, each alphabet differs in shape. You can start with one or two alphabets each day. For instance, “A for Apple” and “B for a ball” taught with a light musical theme would help you in getting the attention of your kid. Kids get more attracted to animated large sized texts instead of a regular font. On the internet, you can get a lot of rhymes that would help you teach alphabets to your child in a fun and loving manner. Take each alphabet at a time. The purpose is to make the kid enjoy learning. When he sees the same tune being played every day, he would start having fun.

• Numbers

Numbers can be taught to kids in a similar way like alphabets. You can find attractive nursery rhymes online that show the name of the number when it occurs along with the name in text form. For instance, the number “1: would be shown and the text “one” would be written along with it. Kids enjoy bright-colored animated forms and they find to have fun while learning them.

• Names of colors

The best way to teach a kid about colors is through baby songs. Kids cannot differentiate between colors until they view things that have specific colors. On the internet, you can find rhymes that show things that have different colors. I came across a baby song for learning colors which seemed quite helpful

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xz5rA5ssww8

For instance, if red is the color, the text “red” is written in the left. Along with that, a paint container enters flying from the left and fills an empty apple as apples are usually red in color. Along with that, the text” the apple is red” is written under it. Along with that, the text “the apple is red” is being sung in the background till song moves on to the next color in the line.

For kids, it is much easier to remember visual objects.

Baby songs to make kids sleep
Only parents know that making a kid sleep at night is nothing less than climbing a steep mountain. Kids only go to sleep when they get exhausted but they start getting irritated if they do not sleep properly at night. A much easier way is a good soft baby song. At night, you can play one of these songs till your child falls asleep.

• Baby songs actually make the kid sleepy when soft music is being played around them. The theme that these songs have usually comprised of objects that are soft in color. Kids start viewing these shapes and then get sleepy. Kids usually like listening to these songs and fall asleep when they are being played.
Why do baby songs and nursery rhymes work for kids?
Kids get attracted to animated themes and cartoon characters and this is one of the key reasons why parents should use them for kids. On the internet, you can find baby songs and rhymes for everything. Whether it is learning alphabets, vegetables, fruits, shapes, numbers, and other things, you can find rhymes for everything.

• Numerous rhymes are available online for school going and they focus on various areas which create an impression in the child’s mind that school is enjoyable. For instance, certain baby songs show a cute yellow colored school van filled with children stopping in front of a house. When you kid sees other children sitting in the van, he develops a positive liking for going to school. Similarly, when he sees colorful bags, he also develops a liking for them. In a nutshell, these rhymes make it easier for parents to send their children to school.

This video shows you how to solve for fractions with exponents. If there are parentheses, then the exponent follows both the numerator and denominator. If there are no parentheses, then it just follows the variable it is next to.

Improved math is a channel created to provide additional instruction on essential math concepts. I’m passionate about math and I know first-hand how important math concepts are in the real world.

Teachers, parents, guardians, homeschoolers, and students can use these videos to help reinforce math skills. These math videos are designed to help teach yourself math or provide self-study math tools to assist when additional instruction is needed. Teaching math and learning math has changed the way many students learn in this virtual environment and during the pandemic. Having on-demand math videos can provide math tutoring needed when children are not able to get help from their teachers after school hours or when trying to do math at home.

The library of math tutorials that I create can also be used as supplemental instructional material for homeschool math. Each full-length video comes with a subsequent knowledge check or math practice problems which serve as a virtual math topic worksheet to test your understanding of each skill. These videos can be paused to work out the problems on your own, then unpaused to check your answers. All of these videos can be found under the Knowledge Check playlist.

I also have a library of shorter videos (less than 1 minute in length - shorts) that are quick math tips and tricks on basic math topics. Some of these short math help videos include problems that you can work on yourself and submit your answers in the comments. They are all listed under my Math Tips and Tricks playlist.

Improved math is creating more videos every day to cover topics from 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, and 7th-grade math. The videos focus on fractions, basic math operations, geometry and ratios but more topics are being added all the time. If there is a specific topic you would like to see covered, drop me a comment in one of my videos and let me know!

Free math help videos will be posted every Thursday and Friday. For additional math resources, check out my math help website at improvedmath.com where I post math worksheets and answers along with additional context on math basics.

Our lizard friend the Gila monster probably has no idea that a chemical in its spit inspired one of the most important medical advancements of the 21st century. But this story is really about something bigger. Something deeper, beneath the surface. About why we do science in the first place. And about what kind of questions are the best ones for scientists to ask.

Educational video for children in which they will learn the /s/ sound in English through a fun song and numerous examples alongside our favorite seal, Feli. Little ones will discover how to pronounce the sound of the letter s. Phonics is a very successful method used to teach reading through letter sounds. In this simple video for children who are beginning to read, we work on phonemic awareness and phonological awareness, two important skills for early readers and young children who are developing reading skills. It is an interactive video that asks viewers to participate by singing and repeating the sounds along with Feli.

This video is a very useful and interesting resource for children to learn the sounds of the Englishlanguage. It is an excellent video for infant, primary and bilingual education.

The finest burritos in the world are made in San Francisco’s Mission District. But how can you get a hot & fresh one in New York City in time for lunch? Physics, that’s how. For this very serious and scientific video, we dug a classic documentary out of the vault that tells the story of the transcontinental burrito tunnel, and its successor, the transcontinental burrito hypertunnel. They are both true marvels of physics. Oh, and they aren’t real… but the science is.
