Maximum Power Transfer Theorem Using Nodal Analysis & Thevenin Equivalent Circuits Teacherflix 10 Views • 2 years ago

This electronics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into the maximum power transfer theorem which states that the max power delivered from the source to the external circuit occurs when the load resistance is equal to the thevenin resistance. This video explains how to use the thevenin equivalent circuit and nodal analysis to calculate the thevenin voltage & resistance as well as the maximum power delivered.

Battle of Brisbane
November 26-27, 1942
World War Two
During the pacific campaign of WWII, the American alliance with Australia was an important element of the allied Forces efforts to work together. Lying within reach of the Malay Archipelago and other Japanese controlled territories, Australia was a perfect base for the American Military to establish themselves.
It would serve as a starting point for the Pacific Campaign, along with deploying troops and equipment to the frontline of the fighting. The alliance between the two countries that was forged during the war has remained solid ever since however this was not always the case.

Made up mainly of the Border Guard Service, it specialises in military and foreign counterintelligence, counterterrorism, economic state security, and internet monitoring. Vitamins and Minerals for Kids | Learn the difference and why they're important
Vitamins and Minerals for Kids | Learn the difference and why they're important Teacherflix 10 Views • 2 years ago

What exactly are vitamins and minerals? Many people think these two substances are the same, but they are not. But they are both important to keep our bodies strong and healthy. Vitamins are organic substances, meaning that plants and animals produce them. Minerals are inorganic and come from the soil and water. Then they are absorbed by plants or eaten by animals.

Vitamins are divided into two categories—fat soluble or water soluble. Which category a vitamin falls into depends on whether it dissolves best in fats or in water. The fat-soluble vitamins can be stored in the body, but the water-soluble vitamins need to dissolve in water before the body can absorb them. In addition, the body can’t store water-soluble vitamins. For this reason, we need a fresh supply of water-soluble vitamins each day.

When it comes to minerals, our bodies cannot break down or change them. Minerals can, however, form part of the structure of bones, teeth, nails, muscles, and red blood cells. There are several minerals the body needs. Calcium is one of the most common minerals. Our bodies need calcium to build and protect bones and teeth, support our muscles, and help with blood clots and nerves.

We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about these essential nutrients! If you want to learn even more, head over to our website and download one of our many lesson plans about health, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

All about India for Kids | Learn cool facts about this fascinating country Teacherflix 7 Views • 2 years ago

What do you know about the country of India, located on the continent of Asia? In All about India for Kids, you will learn some interesting facts about the country, including its history, it's unique flag, famous landmarks, and more. By the end of the video, you'll know a lot and be able to share the information with your friends.

India has a population of around 1.39 billion people, which is over a billion more than the U.S. population! Even though they have a lot of people, the country is only one-third the size of the United States. It borders Pakistan, China, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Myanmar. Most of it actually forms a peninsula because it's surrounded by water on three sides. The country also boasts a lot of different terrains, such as deserts and plains.

A few important historical figures you'll learn about include Aryabhata, who was an astronomer and mathematician. He determined that the earth rotated around its axis daily. His work would help scientists and mathematicians hundreds of years later. Mahatma Ghandi is another significant person in Indian history. Ghandi was a civil rights leader who led a peaceful campaign against the British government that ruled India at the time. His campaign eventually led to India's independence.

We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning about George Washington Carver! If you want even more information, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

ASL Fact and Opinion for Kids
ASL Fact and Opinion for Kids Teacherflix 7 Views • 2 years ago

What is a fact? What is an opinion? And what is the difference between the two? In Fact and Opinion for Kids, you and your student(s) will learn how to tell the difference between a statement of fact and one that is simply a person's opinion.

This video starts out with a great example that demonstrates opinions. Andrew loves pizza, his mom loves ice cream, and his dad loves apples. None of these foods are the best food in the world to everyone, so each person's favorite food choice is their opinion. Facts are statements that can be proven. The sun is yellow. The sky is blue. These are facts that people can prove quite easily. Summer is the best time of year. Soccer is the most fun sport to play. These statements cannot be proven. They are opinions because people prefer different things. Some people may believe summer to be the best time of year. Others, though, might prefer autumn or winter weather even more.

Some opinions can be supported by facts. While they are still opinions, they can be considered widely accepted because of the facts that support them. There are two reasons to know the difference between facts and opinions. One reason is that listening to others' opinions help you better understand them and know them better. The other reason is that knowing the facts about something helps you make important decisions.

We hope you and your student(s) enjoyed learning how to differentiate between a fact and an opinion! If you want even more practice, head over to our website and download one of our many free lesson plans, full of activities, worksheets, and more!

1:26 Tell the difference between facts and opinions
2:38 What is an opinion? What is a fact?
3:17 Listen and identify the facts and opinions
4:44 Opinions supported with facts

Dinosaurs for Kids | Learn about Dinosaur History, Fossils, Dinosaur Extinction and more!
Dinosaurs for Kids | Learn about Dinosaur History, Fossils, Dinosaur Extinction and more! Teacherflix 3 Views • 2 years ago

Dinosaurs for Kids is a fun and comprehensive look at dinosaur history. In this video we highlight the various kinds of dinosaurs, talk about how they receive their names, famous dinosaur fossils, and we talk about the people who find dinosaur fossils: Paleontologists.

We think that one of the most fascinating creatures to ever roam the Earth was the dinosaur. You most likely have heard of dinosaurs, seen pictures of them on TV or the Internet, or may have seen their bones in a museum. Dinosaurs are an interesting group of animals that no longer exist, meaning they are extinct. Dinosaurs evolved, meaning they changed, over millions of years.

In this dinosaur for kids video we also talk about how the dinosaurs’ extinction took place about 66 million years ago and 75% of all life on Earth died. There are many theories or guesses as to what may have happened leading to the extinction. They include worldwide volcanic eruptions, changes in the Earth’s climate, or perhaps a meteorite from space smashing into the Earth.
