Take a guided tour of Parents K12 and see how you can help your children succeed in school and beyond.
More than 1 million K-12 students suddenly have to learn from home after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the closure of Arizona's schools. In this Arizona Capitol Times Morning Scoop, we tackled how the transition has been, how schools are adapting, and what resources are available for teachers, parents and pupils. Our panelists are Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman, Dr. Sheila Harrison-Williams, Executive Director of Arizona School Boards Association, Dr. LeeAnn Aguilar-Lawlor, Superintendent of Cartwright School District, and Dr. Liz Brooke, Chief Learning Officer of Rosetta Stone.
https://noahnationadventures.com K12 3Rd Grade School is Noah's 2nd year in this school, due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Previously he went to another school called Connections Academy, who offered an online education from grades Kindergarten to twelve grade.
K12 is a for-profit education company that sells online schooling and curricula. K12 is an education management organization that provides online education designed as an alternative to traditional "brick and mortar" education for public school students from kindergarten to 12th grade.
K12 has schools all over the United States, so transferring to a different state is easy and they will connect you and your parent to the local school to join in any activities that the school has to offer.

Word variety - one of seven videos in a series on kindergarten prep created by the Anoka-Hennepin School District. Using a variety of words in talking with others is one of the skills that provides a strong foundation for learning and success in kindergarten.
Does your child use complete sentences with four to six words. Communicate needs and feelings appropriately? Try to use new words?

When we tell a story, we must follow the right order - and to indicate this order of events, we can use sequence words. In this instructional video, Owen talks about these sequence words and gives an example of how to structure a story correctly, using them.
This video is part of a broader lesson plan that is aligned with CCSS.ELA-Literacy.CCRA.W.3: "Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, well-chosen details and well-structured event sequences."

You may not think kids in k12 need to learn rhetoric, but the truth is, if they aren't taught reading properly, and if English Language Arts becomes another social science class, kids will not learn what they need to learn how to think properly: rhetoric.
Join me as I sit down LIVE with Erec Smith to discuss this important topic!
Erec Smith is an Associate Professor of Rhetoric at York College of Pennsylvania. Although he has eclectic scholarly interests, Smithโs primary focuses on the rhetorics of anti-racist activism, theory, and pedagogy. He is a co-founder of Free Black Thought, a website dedicated to highlighting viewpoint diversity within the black intelligentsia. Also, Smith is a Senior Fellow for the Foundation Against Intolerance and Racism and an advisor for Counterweight, an organization that advocates for classical liberal concepts of social justice. In his latest book, A Critique of Anti-racism in Rhetoric and Composition: The Semblance of Empowerment, Smith addresses the detriments of anti-racist rhetoric and writing pedagogy based on identity and prefigurative politics and suggests that a more empowering form anti-racism be considered.
