A Coulomb is the SI unit for charge. It is equal to 6.24 x 10 to the 18th power.
Electric power is voltage times current. Voltage is equal to Joule/Coulomb and an ampere is equal to a Coulomb/Second. Let's take a look at what this SI unit for charge.
A Coulomb is also equal to 1 ampere ( the si unit for current) times 1 second
1C = 1A x 1s
In other words, if the current in a circuit is 1 ampere then 1 Coulomb passes a point each second.
1A = 1C/s

Law conservation mass word problems.
In the video, I show two types of law of conservation word problems. The first problem involves counting atoms and the second problem involves finding the mass of the reactants and the products.
Example problem:
How much oxygen would add with 36g of carbon to give 136g of carbon dioxide?

Longshore Drift which is also called littoral Drift involves the movement of sand and other items along the shoreline.
As prevailing winds push waves up the shore which is called swash, the backwash moves the sand back down which results in the sand moving in the direction of the prevailing winds.

What does a chemical equation tell you?
A chemical equation is the written expression of a chemical reaction.Welcome to MooMooMath and Science
In this video I would like to talk about chemical equations.
Chemical reactions occur all around us.
They can be exciting like these fireworks, also helpful like these fires..
A chemical reaction can be represented using a chemical equation.
Let's breakdown this chemical equation and see what information it contains.
First,the reactants are on the left of the arrow and products are on the right of the arrow
This equation has methane which is ch4 combining with oxygen which is O2
The plus marks on the left of the arrow tells which elements or compounds are combining
The arrow tells you what it will produce or yield. The right side of the arrow are your products or what is produced
The products in this equation are co2 which is carbon dioxide and h2o or water.
Each capital letter represents a new element and each element has a symbol. The symbol for every element can be found on the periodic table.
A number behind a letter tells is a subscript and represents how many ions of the element are in the chemical equation
H20 tells you that the compound has two hydrogens and 1 oxygen
What do the numbers in front of a letter tell you?
Coefficients are the numbers in front of the formulas
the coefficients give the number of moles of each substance involved in the reaction. In the example reaction 2 H2 + O2 yields 2 H2O
two moles of hydrogen react with one mole of oxygen and produce two moles of water.
Atoms are neither created nor destroyed.
In other words it must be balanced.
If you count the atoms with this reaction you will notice that it is not balanced.
This new equation is balanced because you have equal numbers of elements on both sides.
I will leave a note in the show notes for a video I created on balancing equations.
You can also indicate the physical states of the reactants and products
Here are some symbols
S = solid
l = liquid
g = gas
and aq = dissolved in water
In this chemical equation you have a solid plus a liquid and it produces a hydrogen gas dissolved in water.
So there you go
chemical equations
Reactants on the left, products on the right

The hydrologic cycle (water cycle) recycles water on earth. The water cycle drives our weather and allows life to exist on earth. Let ’s start with the evaporation of water from the surface of the ocean.
As moist air is lifted, it cools and water vapor condenses to form clouds. In fact, clouds are made up of tiny water droplets and ice crystals that are so small they can float in the air.
This moisture in the atmosphere may be transported around the globe until it returns to the surface as precipitation.
Precipitation may take the form of rain, snow, sleet or hail. Once the water reaches the ground, one of two processes may occur, some of the water may evaporate back into the atmosphere or the water may penetrate the surface and become groundwater. The groundwater may take several different paths.
Groundwater either seeps its way to into the oceans, rivers, and streams, or into an aquifer which is a body of saturated rock through which water can easily move, or it may be released back into the atmosphere through transpiration.
Transpiration occurs when leaves from trees and other vegetation give off water vapor through pores in their leaves.
Some water on the earth’s surface is not absorbed by plants or become groundwater and becomes surface runoff, which empties into lakes, rivers and streams and is carried back to the oceans, where the cycle begins again.

How are concave and convex lenses different?
A convex lens is thicker in the middle compared to the edges. It is also called a converging lens because the rays and bent together. A convex lens is also called a positive lens because of the location of the focal point.
A concave lens is thinner in the middle compared to the edges.
It is called a diverging lens because the rays of light spread out.
A concave lens also is called a negative lens because the focal point is behind the lens.

Genotype and phenotypesYour genotype is your genetic code of your cells. This genetic code is responsible for many of your traits. The physical expression of your genotype is your phenotype.

Your genetic information is stored in your chromosomes on sections called genes.
A gene is a portion of DNA that codes for a trait.
The following picture illustrates this.
If you look at this drawing of a gene, the different sections are your genes.
In genetics you will encounter these three types of genotypes.
Homozygous dominant is written BB
Homozygous recessive bb
Heterozygous Bb
For each trait you get some information from mom and some from dad.
The different forms of the same trait are called alleles.
Take a look at the different hair texture. These different forms are alleles. It is still hair, just different forms.
A dominant allele will cover up or mask a recessive allele.
You will only get a recessive allele if both alleles are recessive.
Your phenotype is the actual expression of the genotype.
For example this dog has a round nose, this cat has black hair. These are physical expression of the genetic code.

X linked chromosomes explained,Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes. One pair determine the gender of the child.A female will have xx chromosomes and males will have an x and a y chromosome
The x and y chromosomes not only carry the genes that determine male and female traits but also some other characteristics as well.
Since only men inherit Y chromosomes, they are the only ones to inherit Y-linked traits. The y chromosome carries around 200 genes.
There are about 1,100 human X-linked genes.
Most of them code for something other than female anatomical traits. Some X-linked genes are responsible for abnormal conditions such as hemophilia, red-green color blindness,
and "male pattern baldness".

The deciduous forest biome is known for having four seasons and trees that drop their leaves in the winter.
This biome is located in the eastern half of the United States, Canada, Europe, parts of Russia, China, and Japan.
The deciduous forest has moderate winters and warm summers. It receives around 50 inches of rain a year. This rainfall allows trees like oak, maple, and beech trees to grow in this forest.
You will find bear,fox, and deer in this biome
