Video: Count to 20 Number Song for Kids | Counting 1-20 Fun Song for Children
Grade Levels: Pre-K / Preschool, Kindergarten, & 1st Grade
🍎 Check out our ever-growing library of math songs at https://www.numberock.com. 🍎

»»-------------¤-------------««»»-------------¤-------------««

Q. I'd like to show my students this video but my school blocks YouTube videos. Where else can I watch this video to work around this problem?
A. You can watch this video here; ad-free and child-safe:

https://numberock.com/

Follow Lindsey and her cousin Benji as they go on a picnic and see all sorts interested animals representing the numbers 1 to 20. They count to 20 to find out how many dancing ducks there are, whistling fish, and even maestro bunnies jamming away on the upright bass as they sing, counting from 1-20 with all their new human and animal friends.

Q. What grade levels do this video target?
A. This video targets learning standards in Pre-K, kindergarten, and 1st Grade.

Q. Where did you guys come from?
A. Numberock is a project that I, Mr. Hehn, began as a 5th Grade math teacher of 7 years. It came together after years of experimenting with my lessons trying to figure out the best way to help my students retain the math concepts they were learning.

Q. Does Numberock drive real results in the classroom?
A. I knew I found the secret sauce when not only were my students retaining the concepts longer, they were singing the songs outside of the classroom during recess and at home with their parents during dinnertime. The songs were so catchy, my students couldn't get the math songs out of their head!

During testing, I often found my students humming the melodies in order to jostle their memory of a rule or problem solving process. As we've all experienced, there is something about the power of music that allows us to retain information easier and for longer periods of time. Without getting into the finer details of multi-sensory learning and how it often helps the students who most need the help, the power of a catchy song is hard to deny.

Q. I love your songs. Where can I experience more of what NUMBEROCK has to offer?

A. Make sure to check out our additional teaching resources over on our website at numberock.com.
(see clickable link at the top of this YouTube description).

Once there, you can access our complete library of learning resources which can be accessed free for a full month (and you can cancel anytime). At the end of the month you'll have the opportunity to lock in a price of $4.95/month or $49.95/year for as long as the subscription remains active.

Premium members gain immediate access to a wide variety of video-aligned activities like worksheets, printable posters/anchor charts, task cards, self-graded assessments with grade-book recording + individual student performance reports, printable games, and more.

We have additional teaching resources that are always expanding over at https://www.numberock.com. For the low price of $4.95/month, premium members gain access to video-aligned activities like worksheets, printable posters/anchor charts, task cards, self-graded assessments, games, and more.

Coming Soon:

1. Number Notes | Were currently working on creating exercises where students will be able to take notes artistically on printable templates featuring characters from the videos.

Research has shown that this will help to integrate their artistic side side of the student's brain with the mathematical side of their brain which helps with long-term memory retention. Our own research has shown us that teacher's who use start using these templates love them! It seems to be a natural fit as we move beyond our unique auditory learning tools into visual learning tools, that when used in concert, cater to the different types of learners that you teach everyday.

Hope to see you at https://numberock.com!

Our Counting to 20 Song for Kids video is aligned with the following Common Core standards:

CCSS K.CC.3

Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).

CCSS. K.CC.4a
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.

CCSS K.CC.4b
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.

CCSS.K.CC.4c
Understand that each successive number name refers to a quantity that is one larger.

CCSS.Math.Content.K.CC.5
Count to answer "how many?" questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.

In which John Green teaches you about the Little Ice Age. The Little Ice Age was a period of global cooling that occurred from the 13th to the 19th centuries. This cooling was likely caused by a number of factors, including unusual solar activity and volcanic eruptions. The Little Ice Age greatly impacted human social orders, especially during the 17th century. When the climate changed, and the weather became unpredictable, the world changed profoundly. Poor harvests led to hunger, which led to even less productivity, which even resulted in violent upheaval in a lot of places. All this from a little change in the temperature? Definitely.

Today we're going to begin our three-part unit on p-values. In this episode we'll talk about Null Hypothesis Significance Testing (or NHST) which is a framework for comparing two sets of information. In NHST we assume that there is no difference between the two things we are observing and and use our p-value as a predetermined cutoff for if something seems sufficiently rare or not to allow us to reject that these two observations are the same. This p-value tells us if something is statistically significant, but as you'll see that doesn't necessarily mean the information is significant or meaningful to you.

One way to conserve energy in a building is to use adequate insulation to help keep hot or cool air inside or outside of the structure. Inefficient heating and cooling of buildings is a leading residential and industrial source of wasteful energy use. In this activity, student groups conduct a scientific experiment to help an engineering team determine which type of insulation conserves the most energy—a comparison of newspaper, wool, aluminum foil and thin plastic. They learn about different kinds of insulation materials and that insulation prevents the transfer of heat, electricity or sound. Student teams collect data and make calculations, then compare and discuss their results. A student worksheet is provided.

Students use the engineering design process while learning about accessibility for people with physical disabilities in Egypt. Students are challenged to create a reusable prototype to help a wheelchair table tennis team pick up ping pong balls. Before building their prototypes, students research the trash and waste problem in Egypt, compiling a list of sustainable materials that can be used to build their devices. Students then individually brainstorm and plan at least two different devices before coming together in teams to develop one group prototype design. After building, testing, and improving their prototypes, student groups present their prototypes to the class.
