In this math lesson, you will learn how to tell time on an analog clock. In this lesson, we will focus on reading the short or hour hand and the long minute hand.
We will learn three easy steps to tell time.
Start at the small hand
Write two dots
Read the large hand.

Learn all about our Global winds. These include the Polar Easterlies, the Westerlies, and the trade winds.
Global winds are created from the unequal heating of the Earth and the Coriolis effect.
At some locations on Earth, there are locations of little wind. At the equator, you will find the Doldrums and at 30 degrees north and south you will find the Horse latitudes.

How are plant cells and animal cells similar and different? There is a great variety and plants and animals found on earth. If you look at a plant cell and an animal cell you will see they have similarities and difference.
Let’s first focus on how they are similar.
They are both considered eukaryotic cells because they both contain a nucleus and membrane bound organelles.
They have many of the same organelles, they both contain a rough and smooth er
Golgi body, mitochondria they both have ribosomes which create proteins. Technically ribosomes are not organelles because they are not membrane bound
In addition, animal and plant cells contain a cytoskeleton and cytoplasm,
Both plant and animal cells contain a cell membrane.
Next, let's focus on some of the differences.
A plant cell has a cell wall. The cell wall is a rigid outer covering of a plant cell that provides structure and protection.
Animal cells do not have a cell wall.
A plant cell has chloroplasts. Chloroplasts are the location of photosynthesis which allows the plant to convert sunlight into sugar The mitochondria found in the plant cell then uses this sugar to create energy.
Plants have a large central vacuole compared to an animal cell that contains smaller vacuoles.
Plants cells do not have lysosomes and animal cells do have lysosomes.
Lysosomes help animals break down large molecules, old cell parts and sometimes large macromolecules that get past the cell membrane. The cell wall of a plant keep these large molecules out and plant cells have lytic vacuoles that perform a similar function of the lysosomes in animals.
Plant cells contain plastids and animals do not have plastids.
The plastids of plants take several forms. The following is a picture of several of the different plastids found in a plant.
Plants do not have centrosomes and animals do. Centrosomes are the microtubule organizing and construction center and help spindle fibers attach to the chromosomes during mitosis
So there you go Some of the similarities and difference of a plant and animal cell.

Here is a list of some of the major jobs
Transports oxygen to each cell.
Removes waste material like carbon dioxide.
Helps regulate your temperature and ph levels.
Fights disease and helps the immune system do its job.
Blood transports nutrients, such as sugars, fats and proteins, amino acids,
Along with hormones which are your chemical messages of the endocrine system.
It is made up of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma.

Another thing which is often difficult for the children to learn is the capital letters in English alphabets and where to use them.

Okay, so the very first thing a child needs to know is that the first letter of every proper noun is always capital. Now what is a proper noun, one may ask. A proper noun is the name of a place, girl, boy, food, etc. In short, anything which has a specific name is a proper noun. So، make sure that whenever you write a proper noun write it in capital letter. For example, New York, December, Lily, etc.

Teaching measurement and comparing lengths has many benefits. Young children that have a good understanding of measurement have the skills to compare attributes of objects and classify things in their environments in different ways. Measurement links math to their everyday lives, other school subjects, and increases understanding of number concepts and spatial skills.
At Kid’s Academy, measurement and comparing lengths are explained and taught clearly and concisely with video lessons and worksheet activities.

The video lessons include instruction on comparing lengths and height of objects. Students learn how to classify objects as tallest, shortest, or longer and shorter. Students use higher order thinking skills to answer questions such as: what is the second shortest object or what object is shorter than the giraffe but taller than the tiger? The recorded lessons about comparing lengths for kids include answering questions such as finding the correct illustration with clues such as: Emma is shorter that Jenny, Jenny is shorter than Sarah. The video teachers define measurement terms and show students how to think through the more difficult questions with illustrations and examples on the teacher whiteboard.

Often in life, measuring without a ruler or other tool is required. Students, using these video lessons have the opportunity to measure items using non-standard units as well as measuring using an inch ruler. Comparing non-standard units to standard measurement tools allows students to connect measurement to their world.

Think of activities that go beyond the video lessons. Comparing length for kids is more fun when learning is extended. Compare the heights of children in the home or classroom. In the classroom, who has the longest pencil as compared to the teacher’s pencil? Ask the students if it is better to measure the length of a book with paper clips or a broomstick. Go outside and measure the length of the playground with a yardstick and a ruler. Have fun with this math skill!
