Members of the Lindbergh Schools Teaching and Learning Department share more information about the state and district assessment tools we use to measure student performance and how the results are used to inform instruction districtwide.
Improve your students' vocabulary with the descriptive vocabulary poster. This chartlet features twelve commonly used words, like laughed, good, funny, and big. The poster has a resource guide on the back as well.
This is a perfect chartlet for students in middle and upper elementary. The poster provides twelve synonyms for each of the twelve commonly used words. At 17" x 22", this poster is large enough to be seen easily from the students' desks or tables.
Use this colorful chartlet from Carson Dellosa to help students add more descriptive language to their writing and speaking. It can also be used to teach connotation and denotation in upper elementary classrooms. It can serve as a springboard to learning even more synonyms. Students can use the poster as a template to make their own anchor charts featuring the most commonly used words in their own writing.

this week you will be completing a quiz and test for the end of the unit. there will be some book reading, but not too much. you'll be reading out of come look with me exploring landscape art with children. you'll be answering different questions while comparing different artworks. if you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out! there won't be any project for this lesson since it is at the end of the unit. however, next week we will continue with art projects.
