Did you know that dolphins sleep with one eye open?
This is because they sleep with only a half of their brain, the other half remains awake to be able to keep on breathing. In a dayโs journey, dolphins sleep 4 hours with each part of their body. There are 3 reasons why this occurs. The first is to stop themselves from drowning. The second is to remain alert for any danger as they sleep. The third reason is to allow the muscles to keep moving, since mammals have warm blood and this enables them to maintain their body temperature.
Did you know that dolphins have names for each other like humans?
The truth is that dolphins never stop surprising us. The university of San Andrew in Scotland has discovered that dolphins communicate with each other using names. Yes, Yes like me and you. It is the only animal, except humans, that has been known to do this. Each dolphin has a unique name that differentiates it from others.
It is believed that when mothers give birth, they emit a sound. And this sound, from that very moment, becomes their name.
Did you know that dolphins canโt smell?
Even though they have great ears and excellent vision, dolphins canโt smell. To find their prey they use echolocation. This means that they emit sounds that travel along the water in form of waves. When these waves arrive at something that is solid, they bounce back and the dolphin is able to detect them. When sounds are travelling for long distance, dolphins are able to detect predators or dangers before seeing them, but not all of them.
The contamination of the seas and oceans is destroying the lives of many dolphins and other animals. You need to look after nature so this doesnโt occur and to enable dolphins, these marvelous sea mammals, to keep on living in seas free and happy.
Multiply by 1 and learn the multiplication facts for the 1 times table. This song has cool original music that is very contemporary and age appropriate for 2nd through 5th graders. Also, this song goes through each table 1 through 12 three times to give your children a chance for lots of practice. We take pride in saying that this is one of the best multiplication facts songs on the market.
This song also has a gradual learning structure.
First time: I sing the multiplication table I give the answer.
Second time: I say the table I delay the answer, so children have a chance to answer before me.
Third time: I completely omit the answer so children can answer on their own.
This song on learning how to Multiply by 1 is a wonderful way for your children to learn and practice the multiplication tables.

A simple phosphorus cycle explanation
Phosphorus is not found in the atmosphere. It is important for the production of ATP, DNA, and membrane.
Phosphorus follows a biogeochemical cycle that ensures the earth always has phosphorus and phosphate.
Substances like phosphorus, carbon, and nitrogen move from living organisms to abiotic factors This cycling from living organism to abiotic factor is a biogeochemical cycle.

Biodiversity and ecosystems.
Biodiversity is the variety of life in an area that is determined by the number of species in that area. In simple terms โ Biodiversity is the number of different individuals and life forms in an area.
As biodiversity increases so do the health of the ecosystem increases.
Think of it as if you were running a business.
You want your business to be healthy and make money. Imagine you sell shirts. If you only sold a black shirt with a heart you are limited and if these shirts go out of style you are out of business. If you have a variety of shirts as fashion changes you are better able to adapt to these changes and continue to make money.
As biodiversity increases the ecosystem has a greater ability to adapt to changes.
and a healthy ecosystem has a greater chance of recovering from disasters.
Biodiversity can be broken down into three types
Genetic diversity
Species diversity
Ecosystem diversity

๐ฑ Did you know that the Amazon and Southeast Asian rainforests are called the Earthโs lungs? These incredible rainforests produce much of the oxygen we breathe and capture CO2, helping to combat the greenhouse effect.
๐ฟ Discover fascinating facts about these rainforests:
The Amazon, the largest rainforest in the world, is home to unique species like the sloth and the giant anaconda.
The Southeast Asian rainforest, over 15 million years old, shelters playful orangutans and majestic tigers.

Students identify different bridge designs and construction materials used in modern day engineering. They work in construction teams to create paper bridges and spaghetti bridges based on existing bridge designs. Students progressively realize the importance of the structural elements in each bridge. They also measure vertical displacements under the center of the spaghetti bridge span when a load is applied. Vertical deflection is measured using a LEGOยฎ MINDSTORMSยฎ EV3 intelligent brick and ultrasonic sensor. As they work, students experience tension and compression forces acting on structural elements of the two bridge prototypes. In conclusion, students discuss the material properties of paper and spaghetti and compare bridge designs with performance outcomes.
