How to Learn Basic English Grammar Kids Academy

Want your child to learn Basic English grammar easily? If yes, then you have landed on the right place. Learning grammar can be a little hard for a few kids which is why developing different methods to make the learning process easier becomes necessary. Starting with the nouns first.

Nouns are words that describe a place, name or a thing. To make the learning of terms easier, it is best to make colorful sheets, use props and involve kids in other activities.
The main task is to help children understand the difference between noun, verb, an adjective.

A verb is an action, and an adjective is a word that describes a noun. A FERB worksheet can help kids do this easily. It is a worksheet which consists of sentences. For example; Monkeys eat bananas.

Here, since the monkey is an animal, therefore, it is termed as a noun while eating is an action which means it is a verb. Apart from this, English grammar lessons, quizzes, and other fun activities can also help in learning Basic English.

The 68 - 95 -99.7 Rule (Empirical Rule) lets us know approximately what percent of the normal distribution exists between the first, second, and third stand deviation of the mean, respectively.

Combining this information with the fact that the normal distribution is symmetric about the mean, we can calculate the percent of the distribution that falls between each standard deviation. This video reminds you how to come up with these percentages on the fly if all you can remember is the 68 - 95 -99.7 Rule (Empirical Rule).

Today, we’re going to take a closer look at borders and the stories they tell. When we look at a map, the shapes we’re seeing can seem so permanent, but a map is just a snapshot of the Earth at a particular time, and by looking a countries shape (and how it has changed across time) we can learn so much about how power moves and the ebb and flow of conflict. We’ll talk about the different types of borders, and power dynamics at play in Armenia and Azerbaijan and even look to the oceans as we explore conflict in the South China Sea.

Flying a B-17 was a very risky job since they were huge, slow and therefore easy targets for enemy aircraft and anti-aircraft defences, who always marked them as primary targets.
Out of the entire crew, the most endangered were the machine gunners housed in overexposed emplacements.
One emplacement in particular carried the greatest risk.

What is the difference between a bee and a wasp? This video for kids provides some helpful information to help you answer that question! You will also learn some other fun information about both of these types of insect. If you like, you can download the lesson plan to follow along (link below).

Right off the bat, you can probably tell a few differences between bees and wasps, such as the fact that bees seem hairy while wasps look shiny and smooth. That's because bees tend to have hair that makes them look fuzzy. In fact, their fuzzy bodies help them collect and spread pollen. Wasps have slimmer bodies and aren't quite as good as bees at disseminating pollen.

Their diets differ as well. Bees tend to consume pollen and nectar, which is the sweet fluid that flowers produce. Wasps are natural predators, on the other hand. They feed arthropods and other insects to their young. They are aggressive hunters that leave their nests specifically to look for food. However, they do occasionally focus on collecting sweets during the later summer and fall months.

Both bees and wasps are extremely important to the environment. They help distribute pollen to cross-pollinate plants, which helps produce so much of our food sources! Wasps help keep the arthropod population under control as well. Without them, we would have way too many caterpillars, spiders, and flies. Sadly, the bee populations continue to decline.
