Now that all student work completed in a GeoGebra Class SAVES to students' GeoGebra profiles (for easy access later), some Ts may want to combine several #IllustrativeMathematics + #OpenUpResources #MiddleSchoolMath lessons into a single class. Here, we demonstrate how to do so in a more efficient way ( vs. https://youtu.be/AmzFZn14NQw).

Making an interactive and moving demonstration of circle theorems helps reinforce what the situation is. You can do it very quickly and easily in GeoGebra. This one is for the facts that the two tangents from a point to a circle are the same length, and tangents meet radii at right angles.

Enlargement from a centre by a certain scale factor, built from scratch in less than one minute.

I'm using Geogebra Classic 5 on a PC, but this will work similarly on the mobile app, or in a browser.

In the US this is often called dilation rather than enlargement, and the command in US versions is actually 'dilate': https://wiki.geogebra.org/en/Dilate_Command

You probably know some of the signs of industrialization in the nineteenth century: Trains connected cities, symbolizing progress. But they also brought about the destruction of rural lands, divisions between social classes, and rapid urbanization. But there's a whole lot more to talk about in this episode of History of Science!

Today we wrap up the first half of our series on physical geography by taking a closer look at natural hazards - which are physical processes like heat waves and cyclones, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, and floods and droughts. And when these natural events cause significant harm to humans, we call them natural disasters. So today we'll explore the ways geographers analyze and track these events, and take a closer look at the human impact of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and The Boxing Day Tsunami on the Andaman and Nicobar islands.

This maths calculation tricks helps you quickly work out hard to divide numbers, such as those with long division. With no effort you will be doing long division with 9, leading on to doing long division with any number under 100 in future (linked) videos.
This would have to be the most easy long division trick.
See my other videos for how to divide the normal way, and how to divide fractions and decimals. To donate to the tecmath channel: https://paypal.me/tecmath?locale.x=en_AU To donate to the tecmath channel: https://paypal.me/tecmath?locale.x=en_AU

How Many Faces, Edges And Vertices Does A Octagonal Prism Have?
Here we’ll look at how to work out the faces, edges of vertices of an octagonal prism.
We’ll start by counting the faces, these are the flat surfaces that make the 3D shape. An octagonal prism has 10 faces altogether - 2 octagonal faces, as well as 8 rectangular faces.
Next we’ll work out how many edges the shape has, which are where two faces meet. An octagonal prism has 24 edges.
Next we’ll count the corners of the shape(the corners). Get counting! An octagonal prism has 160 vertices.

For the full playlist for the faces, edges and Vertices of a whole lot of 3D shapes go to https://www.youtube.com/playli....st?list=PLjbxBzUM6SL
