Learn to Play Chess | Types of Draws | Kids Academy

There are 5 most common ways to tie the chess game.

1. Insufficient checkmating material
This type of draw happens when none of the two players can make a checkmate. Which means that none of the players have enough moves or pieces to get a checkmate.

2. Threefold repetition
It happens if a chess position is repeated three times in a single game by both players. It means that a piece makes the same move back and forth three times. When both the players make these repetitive moves, the game is draw.

3. Stalemate
It happens when one player has a safe king, but it has no moves left because it is surrounded by the opponent. However, it is surrounded in a way that the opponent cannot attack its king.

4. Draw by agreement
This happens when one player offers the other player to draw the game. It happens when a game is already reaching the draw condition. The opponent can either make their next move or they can accept the draw offer.

5. 50 moves rule
This happens when both players play 50 moves without moving a pawn or capturing a piece, any player can claim a draw. This kind of draw is least likely to happen

Phonics Blends For Kids | BL, CL, Gl, SL, FL | Consonant Blends | Kids Academy

Right now, you are reading this content most probably because you are working on the reading and writing skills for kids and you want to teach your little one about the blends and what they actually are.

For those who don’t know, a blend is when two consonants are blended together but when spoken, both the consonants can be heard separately. Some of the most common blends are BL, CL, GI, SL, and FL.

Now, honestly, if you want to teach your child about the blends then the wiser thing to do is to refer to the internet. All you need to do is to head to Youtube and search for, “blends for kindergarten” and there you will see several different videos that will come in handy to you.

On the other hand, if you are a teacher and if you have to teach your students about blends and how they work then you need to start by making groups of the blends first because you can’t just teach the students all the blends all at the same time. You need to start with the 1st group of blends, l-blends first (bl, cl, fl, gl, pl and SL) and then you need to follow it to the r-blends.

A lot of people out there confuse diagrams and blends and most of the people don’t even bother teaching the students about blends which aren’t correct. So, if you have a class to teach or if you are opting for homeschooling for your little one then you need to start with the blends so that reading and writing get easier for that little person.

Digestion starts at the mouth, travels down the esophagus, enters the stomach, passes through the small intestine, and then the colon. Along the way fats are broken down, sugars are converted, and important nutrients are absorbed by villi and transported by capillaries.
