Round-Up And Down To The Nearest 10 Or 100 | Math | Grade 3 | Kids Academy

Rounding can be a little difficult to understand. Right? If your kids are having issues learning how to round up then read on to find out a simple way to round to the nearest 10 or 100. Rounding can be tricky this is the main reason why it is essential to learn and develop concepts at an early age.

So, the first step is to write the number you need to round off. Now underline name at the 100th place. The name which is on the tens place indicates that you need to round up or round down. The number on the hundredth place will be rounded off.

One thing which you need to keep in mind is that look on the right of the amount which needs to be rounded. For example, you take the number 138, and you need to turn to the nearest 100, the number you have to check is to the right of hundredth place number, and the digit you underline should be 1. Now the tricky part is number

5. If the amount at tens place is more significant than five or equal to five than you need to round up and vice versa. So in the case of the number 138, it becomes 100. That is easy. So, make sure you make mathematics more comfortable for them, not a burden.

Learning math has never been so much fun! In this fun educational video for kids, we'll learn about adding and subtracting with some super fun vehicles as they smash through giant bowling pins in the city. Featuring a tiny Smart Car, a shiny yellow bulldozer, a cool monster truck, a fire truck with flashing lights and a giant dump truck. Follow Lindsey and her cousin Benji as they go on a picnic and see all sorts interested animals representing the numbers 1 to 20. They count to 20 to find out how many dancing ducks there are, whistling fish, and even maestro bunnies jamming away on the upright bass as they sing, counting from 1-20 with all their new human and animal friends.

Q. What grade levels do this video target?
A. This video targets learning standards in Pre-K, kindergarten, and 1st Grade.

Q. Where did you guys come from?
A. Numberock is a project that I, Mr. Hehn, began as a 5th Grade math teacher of 7 years. It came together after years of experimenting with my lessons trying to figure out the best way to help my students retain the math concepts they were learning.
