I use this method in math sometimes when I'm not certain how to proceed! Is it a trick? Probably not - but I use it lots in trigonometry and formula.

Coronavirus is here. The numbers are terrifying.
The number of cases worldwide doubles every four days.
We'll be at a million cases within two weeks.
The fatality rate of coronavirus is from 1 to 3.4% It requires hospitalisation in 19% of cases.

Trigonometry is an easy way to work out the unknown sides and angles of a right angled triangle. The trick - know the side names - the opposite, hypotenuse, and adjacent, and know how and when to apply the trigonomic functions - sin, cos and tan. this is the only trick to getting it right every time!
In this lesson, students learn work out unknown angles using use sine, cosine, and tangent. You will need a scientific calculator for the problems in this lesson - and I'll show you how to access one on your computer. To work out the fraction of an amount, first of all it is essential to convert the fraction to a decimal.
To do this divide the numerator (top number) by the denominator (bottom number). eg - 1/5 = 0.2 Then times this answer by the amount you wish to find a fraction of.
e.g 1/5 of 20 = 0.2 x 20 = 4
To work out the percentage of an amount, it is also essential to first convert the percentage to a decimal.
To do this move the decimal place left two spaces - eg - 25% = 0.25 Then times this answer by the amount you wish to find apercentage of.
e.g 25% of 20 = 0.25 x 20 = 5. To donate to the tecmath channel: https://paypal.me/tecmath?locale.x=en_AU To donate to the tecmath channel: https://paypal.me/tecmath?locale.x=en_AU

Some decimals are easy to convert to fractions - you just put the decimal over a suitable multiple of ten - and then simplify from there. To do the more complex decimal to fraction conversions there is a trick, which involves some very easy algebra. Learn how to do this and you will be able to convert any decimal to a fraction.
