This chemistry video tutorial provides a basic introduction into orbitals and quantum numbers. It discusses the difference between atomic energy levels and sublevels found within an atom. Orbitals are locations where it's most probable to find the location of an electron. The principle quantum number n describes the energy level of an orbital in an atom. The angular momentum quantum number l describes the sublevel or shape of an orbital. The magnetic quantum number ml describes the orientation of an orbital. Ms describes the electron spin of an atom. This video explains how to find the four quantum numbers n l ml and ms of an electron given its electron configuration.

How to Play Chess - Animated Cartoon Series for Beginners | Kids Academy
Parents and teachers realize that school success and higher test scores lead to more opportunities in the secondary and college years. Chess for kids is a great way to improve higher-order thinking and problem-solving skills, and reading and math skills. Many US states and other countries around the world include chess in their curricula.
The best part about chess for kids is that all children can play at whatever level of ability they possess.
To learn chess for kids, simplified instruction is necessary. Video lessons are an effective and easy way to learn the basics of chess as the chess moves, strategies and techniques are viewed and learned in small chunks.
The learner has the option to play the video multiple times until mastery of the concept or skill is mastered. For instance, when a young player is working on how to learn chess, he or she discovers that in the opening moves of play it is important to control the center, develop your pieces and protect your king by castling.
As the child’s ability level increases, the player can begin to learn strategic moves for a quick check-mate as well as how to defend against these moves. The Scholar’s Mate is a 4-move check-mate strategy that many players learn when acquiring the basics of chess.
Viewing games that chess masters played in the past is another great way to learn the basics of chess. One such game is the Opera Game. In this game, chess master Paul Morphy demonstrates one of the best active attacking games of all time.
Teachers that encourage chess for kids in their classrooms see better results in the children’s academic performance and experience a positive classroom environment.
Parents that play the game with children at home enjoy quality time with their kids and know that playing chess helps children academically.

Learns learn why vertical lines have undefined slopes. Slope is defined as rise over run. When you have a vertical line you end up with a zero as a denominator which causes an undefined slope.
If you make a model of the distance of the planets on a large field you get an impression of how far away the planets and closest stars really are. In this model, 1 foot represented 15,500,000 miles.
The Earth is only 6 feet away but Pluto ends up being 236 feet away.
The closest star Alpha Centauri ends up being 305 miles away, Imagine that, 305 miles away on this scale when Neptune is less than 100 yards away from the sun. It is hard to imagine these kinds of distances.
Quadrilateral are 2D plane figures with four straight sides and angles. Learning the names of the different quadrilaterals can be challenging. I provide two methods, a quadrilateral chart, and a quadrilateral Venn diagram.
Each of these tools covers the common quadrilaterals and their properties
I cover the types of parallelograms and trapezoids.
Quadrilaterals cover include kite, trapezoid, parallelogram, rhombus, rectangle, and square.

Learn how to compare prices using unit rates. A unit rate tells you the cost of one. In order to compare different products, you can set up a unit rate. For example, which is the best buy, 9 can for 10 dollars or 15 cans for 13 dollars. You can create an equivalent fraction by dividing the numerator and denominator by the original denominator.

In this video, learn about the biome called the taiga. This biome is also called the coniferous forest or the boreal forest.
The taiga is found in the north and has very cold temperatures.
You will find moose, reindeer, and brown bear.
Savanna- Biomes of the world.
The savanna is a type of biome with large stretches of grasslands mixed with trees and shrubs. It is a mix between a tropical forest and a temperate grassland
Savannas have warm temperatures year round. There are actually two very different seasons in a savanna; a very long dry season in the (winter), and a very wet season in the (summer). In the dry season, a savanna may only receive 4 inches of rain
The dry season is between December and February and occasional fires may occur.
In the summer it will rain often and will this biome may have 10 to 25 inches of rainfall.
Savannas are located in Africa, Brazil, India, and Australia
The savanna we are most familiar with is the East African savanna. This savanna is dotted trees and shrubs. The Serengeti Plains of Tanzania are some of the most well known. Here animals like lions, zebras, elephants, and giraffes are found
Many animals in the savanna have the ability to migrate.
Many types of grasses exist in the savanna and this biome is known for acacia trees and. Baobab trees.

TROUBLESHOOTING
1) When troubleshooting, open the piano app on our website, so we can rule out problems with any other software you might be using: http://www.makeymakey.com/piano
2) Plug the Makey Makey board into your computer's USB port with the red USB cable.
-- Does the red LED on the Makey Makey board light up?
-- Do the green LEDs light up in sequence and then shut off? (This indicates the board is checking the connections.)
3) Just using your hands (not the alligator clips yet), touch the silver EARTH bar at the bottom of the board with one finger and, at the same time, touch any of the silver arrow keys (UP, DOWN, LEFT, and RIGHT) on the Makey Makey board. The individual green LEDS should light up when a connection is made, and the on-screen piano should play music.
-- If you're someplace less humid, try moistening your fingers.
-- If the piano keys changed color on screen, but there was no sound, check the volume on your computer.
-- If the green LEDs light up but the on-screen piano did not respond at all, you may have a faulty USB cable. [If you happen to have a spare mini USB (the Makey Makey end) to USB Type-A cable (or USB Type-C if you are connecting to a newer Apple laptop), it is worth trying that USB cable.]
-- If the green LEDS do not light up when you touch EARTH with one finger and any of the arrow keys on the Makey Makey board with another finger, the problem may be with the board itself.
4) If everything in the steps above has worked, we can test your alligator clips. Pick any color of alligator clip and plug one end of the clip to any of the six EARTH inputs along the bottom of the Makey Makey board. With the other end of the clip, touch the silver input pad labelled SPACE.
-- If the on-screen piano makes music when you use your hands, but it doesn't work when you use the alligator clips, you might have defective alligator clips. Switch the alligator clip you are using, and test each of them!
If something still isn't functioning correctly, let us know which component is not working based on the troubleshooting steps above. Send us an email at support@joylabz.com.
It can also help if you email us photos of the front and back of your Makey Makey board and/or let us know:
-- Version number printed on the back of your Makey Makey (for example: “v1.5” or “v1.6b”; look on the back under “Makey Makey”).
-- Computer Operating System and OS release number that you are using with Makey Makey (for example: “Windows 10” or “macOS 10.13.6” or “iOS 10”).
-- Where and when you purchased your Makey Makey (for example: the order number from our online store or receipt from an authorized reseller).
This is the third video in the series for learning Geogebra
This is a video of my presentation on March 29, 2012 at the EARCOS Teachers Conference in Bangkok, Thailand. The goal of my presentation was to share my philosophy of giving students the tools to get feedback about their work on their own, and to show some ways that Geogebra can do this fairly easily.
