If everyone would just put more in the recycling bin instead of the trash can, the world would be a better place. Right? Well, that’s not exactly true. For many items that end up in the recycling bin, you’ve actually created more trash by trying to recycle them. Mon conseil : il me semble important d'exploiter la notion de fraction au quotidien. De nombreuses situations permettent de les aborder, notamment avec des partages. Vous pouvez progressivement augmenter le nombre de parts (1/10, 3/20, etc.) en faisant un lien constant avec une situation concrète pour votre enfant.

Quick review of how to add fractions when they have the same denominator
(0:21 - 0:36) Demo of adding 2 fractions with different denominators, using fractions model diagrams. 1/4 + 1/2
(0:46 - 1:33) Then, keeping that model in view, we dip into our Fractions Skill-kit to make a common denominator, and THEN we add.
(2:03 - 3:25) Problem 2: 5/6 + 2/3 = 1/2
(3:33 - 5:28) Problem 3: 1/3 + 1/6 + 5/8
If you CAN reduce, you MUST reduce, for your final answer. No improper fractions in your answer.
